so how well does sex work as exercise? 0.o Been reading and its suggest to work up a sweat. I have begun to wonder because my partner has on more then one occassion gotten pretty sweaty.. I on the other hand don't sweat very easily.. Granted I'm still newer to it..edit so I probably don't get the same exercize as someone more use to it >.<

I wouldn't replace a well balanced exercise program with sex. I really doubt anyone can burn enough calories to start losing weight.You have to add the variables that's going to affect the calorie burning. Are you more active or less than your partner? How long is each session or how long each of you can keep it up? Are you in good weight or are you heavier? And I can almost gaurantee that you're going to eat way more calories than burn them through sex.I think people tend to sweat because they are either really going at it or they are a bit overweight in the first place.

Sex... I think that people who claim to lose weight through sex, not only have high endurance sex, but also want to look sexier for their partner, so they start subconsiously eating better, and maybe walking a bit more or doing things to help them look sexier. Just my thought.Although, there are nights when my man and I do a marathon, three or four times, in about a dozen positions, and it feels like a work out.

Works wonders for my respiratory system ... but only if I'm working hard (which is most of the time.) And my abs get more defined when I have sex often.

It really all depends. I wouldn't replace a regular exercise for it but as to an addition it works great.If you're 180-200 pounds (assuming average male) You'll burn a few hundred calories with an hour of sex.I lost 10 pounds when I start to have sex, and I still ate bad, so it wasn't diets or anything new, but I usually had it every day for 2-4 hours. and we know not everyone has that time.So it's a nice addition, but don't replace normal exercises with Sex.

uh around the time i was bangin (gang bangin) i prolly had sex anywhere from 4-6 times a day, as well as smoked weed often. weed is proven to increase your digestion/absortion of food, which in turn gives you the "munchies"now im not using this as a 100% proven theory, because i was also training myself by fighting about 2-3 times a day so that would factor in alot of stuff...but in that year and a half or so of bangin, i lost a good 30 lbs, gained about 12-15 lbs of muscle. and i think it was from having sex so much... sex makes me hungry, but since i'd have a cig/smoke weed right after, the hunger would disipate for a while then i'd either have sex again, or go out and fight, and then have sex smoke and do it all over again...so i didnt eat much, which caused my weight to drop quite a bit...those are my numbers, i mean... you might be able to factor/use that scientifically or sumthin...

You know, I do question the weed increasing your metabolism thing. In honesty I wouldn't be surprised if what increased your metabolism is munching on stuff 24/7.Because I started eating just a little bit every hour or so like celery or a apple, at one point, and until I stopped, I was able to eat as many calories as I wanted and it never effected me.but that was a couple of years ago.
