Hey guys. I've been having this unusual feeling pain since 2 nights ago.I can't really put my finger on what it is but I’ll try my best to describe it.I get this burning/weird feeling in my chest (you know the part where the ribs split into the "v" shape between your nipples?) but not more towards the skin, more "internal" if you will. I guess ill use this pic for reference: (http://www.uic.edu/classes/bios/bios100/lecturesf04am/humrespsys_1.gif) The area right below the heart. Now, you know hunger pains, the weird pain happening in your stomach when your hungry, it feels kind of like that mixed with burning, only not in my stomach...I’ve also noticed that like 2 MAYBE 3 times when I burped i coughed up a little stomach acid, or whatever tastes/feels like it. Not sure if that has anything to do with it as well. Maybe its acid reflux? I’m only 21 so i have no idea...It comes in waves, sometimes it happens every few minutes then stops for 10 minutes then starts up again. The pain isn't INTENSE, but it hurts just enough for me to be concerned. Any idea on what this is?Sorry if this sounds confusing, It's hard for me to describe what’s happening, so if there is confusion, please ask questions.

(lol i thought older people got that?)Well, if it IS, then at least I wont be so concerned with this "unknown" pain. Can anyone else back that possibility up?Thank you!

Yep, I was about 13 when I had it. I took some antacid and I could go to sleep. Had it not hurt so bad I was screaming(I thought lol, that I was having a heart attack or something!) I probably would have not really known it. Now my kid has it sometimes, and she is only 15, but it is usually related to eating too much of certain foods.Yours might not be as severe, but that is what it sounds like to me.

Sounds like heartburn. You want immediate relief?
Take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Put it in the front of your mouth and wash it down with lots of water.. Don't swish it around. If the pain goes away.. It was heartburn.. (BTW.. You'll probably get a few good belches) -
If it happens regularly you should go to your doctor. Some people have chronic gastric reflux that can cause a pain like that, and it can cause some damage. (It happens if the valve to the stomach doesn't close properly, and stomach acid regularly gets into the oesophagus.)
