Well, ive finally come to terms with myself. Im nt hugly overweight, but i am. Im 13 and a huge guy for my age, just measured with my dad, 5 foot 10 inches. Im slightly built, i can lift alot even though im over weight. Im not the best runner in the world, but my friends say for my height and weight im pretty good. But, im 202 lbs. If anyone can give me a link on my height and weight to see how over weight i am. I have a slight gut, and really embarrased about it. Im thinking i want down to 170-180lbs. I Drink 2-3 sodas in a day. Some times chips and dip. A WHOLE lot of popcorn. Just bad eating habits. I do enjoy chicken sandwhiches, fruit, and that kind of stuff, but sometimes just dont have the patiance or time to make one. I need help, a plan, how to work out, i can run outside, push ups, i have a weight set with leg weights, dun bells, and a bench press. Now ive been looking online, and all these things are for adults, and i cant find a work out plan for a kid. Also, somtimes i buy junkfood in school lunches. I just want to lose the gut, to get stronger, faster, and look a little better. Thanks everyone!

202?? Dude I'm 274. You are not overweight.Heck my friend is 202 pounds and he's 6ft. Thats not much of a height difference.If you weigh as much as he does then you shouldn't be overweight.Least thats my opinion.

um if it helps im 15 6'2" and i consider myself over weight i am around 180 so i am not really over wieght but wieght doesnt matter just so your fit thats all that matters im not fit so im trying to loose wieght but your talking to son of the guy that rode across illiniose in 3 days and lost over 100 in bout 3 months by only eating grape fruits and water and yes that diet does work and quick but you also have to ride a bike around 5mile a day wich isnt that much but after 6 months if you keep lossing wieght loosen the diet because if you dont you get really really sick

What's your frame of reference? Your weight?If you use a BMI calculator (which has variables that I can't account for) but his BMI is about 29, which puts him at the edge of overweight/obese....

yes 202 is over weight for 5'10 unless you're a body builder.He should be more around 170 maybe. Also overweight people in most cases are probably allot stronger then average people. And especially after they lose that weight. Because. If you're 115 pounds and you're really strong. The chances are that 170 pound person is stronger then you because he always carries 65 pounds over you. I was really really strong back when I was 242 pounds. I wouldn't know anymore though, I haven't had a chance to do any heavy lifting since then, so I'm probably not very strong anymore.Also drop the sodas that's 300-450 calories right there, that don't need to be there, and can help you drop almost a pound a week.Honestly, simple jumping jacks, push ups, and crunches have helped me come a looooong way.

well something else you have to account for is, even if his BMI is over, and he is overweight/obese, you have to ask if he is ill, is he overweight with high blood pressure? at risk for heart attack and diabetes? im overweight according to most BMI charts, and i have no issue with blood pressure, or diabetes, or heart attack, i mean i cant run a 3 minute mile, but i can lift about 70% of my body weight, and lift about half of my body weigth above my head, im fat, but in good health, his issue maybe a vanity thing, ask if its necessary or just wanted.

At 13, I doubt he is currently at risk off high blood pressure, heart attack and such...

screw age, I'd be more concerned over height/weight/ And for his hight he's only 20 or 30 pounds over. prolly only 20.I've read about kids that are 9-12 that are over 300, and I'm sure they're prone for high blood pressure and heart attacks young or not.Anyways I was 215 at 13, and I was fine, just a bit chubby, but still fairly healthy. So it's not a deathly issues. Honestly, cutting out soda is one of those magical answers you can always do that sees progress quickly. Because so many people drink at least 3 a day. and that's so many calories and sugars and bad stuff. Especially from a working out point a view I'd substitute Soda with Milk. because of protein, but weightloss point of view, water or green tea... always.

215 at 13 is almost always unhealthy unless the person is really tall.
