Hey guys. I have some pretty annoying stretch marks on my belly, chest, thighs(somewhat)and a few on my upper arms. Ive been using a stretch mark cream from Avon, and also i used palmers cocoa butter on them. but there still there. im in the process of losing weight, and i want them gone asap.i drink a LOT of water, and i moisturize every day. any home remedies or suggestions would be really helpful.

Stretch Marks

pout I haven't ever found anything to get rid of my stretch marks...I have tried it all, from Vitamin E oil to prescribed Retin A...BUT, if it is any comfort, they fade in time, and can become almost unnoticeable.
-
ive found some info online of home remedies. im just wondering if they work they really hold me back, im sooo embarassed from them. ive recently started tanning sessions, and they dont seem AS noticeable around my tummy now, but under certain lighting i look DISGUSTING
-
Get over it...easier said than done, I know. But honestly, it is a rare woman who doesn't have ANY....The tanning helps hide them, and next year, they will be less, and each year after. Just not GONE...Keep it in mind that you get them for when you have children, keep your tummy WELL lubed. The first one is the worst!! I didn't believe anyone as to how bad and never greased it up... I didn't get any more with my second...

yea i gotta try and just ignore them. but when you see a flaw on yourself, it seems like everyone is looking at you and judging you on it. you know?
im hoping they'll disappear soon. i used to have some on my hips, but there really really pale now. i forget i even had them there. but ive had these for a really long time now.
-
:)See, they do fade. Just time hon.I have them clear up past my belly button because of my kiddo...but she was worth EVERY ONE!!!They are on my belly, boobs, thighs, and hips. No one really notices, unless I go and point them out.
-
yea same as me, but its from gaining a few pounds. i still use stretch mark cream on them everyday. im in a routine now =)
-
Yeah, nothing you can do. All those creams don't work....I've tried. And God, don't you just hate those super skinny bitches that have had like 3 kids and NO stretch marks?! What's up with that?
-
ugh... well im just loading on the vitamin E cream and drinking loads of water. and tanning, so it should fade a bit.and yes. it pisses me off to the MAX!! im so jealous. my skin tone is really fair, and sensitive, so if i even put on 5 pounds i literally wake up and find new stretch marks.. grumbles
-
Just gonna throw in a guy's perspective here. Or at least my perspective anyway.Don't worry about stretch marks. I actually find them kinda sexy. Absolutely no way would I find a girl any less attractive because of them.I also like pale-skinned girls. In no way would it make you look disgusting. Seriously don't worry about them I'm sure it's hard but you've got nothing to worry about

I know this thread is like a month old. But if you still need help. two words. SHEA BUTTER! And not that "smell good like fresh roses and flowers from the fields" shea butter they sell at Duane Reade or something. I mean straight up African Shea Butter. It's... incredible. My mom used that on me since I was a baby (aside from raw coco butter). But she has used the soap and butter on me since I was a child and that's why even my feet to my back feels like a baby's bottom lol. But they get rid of stretch marks too. It's worked on me even though I've been lazy and I still have on my thighs. But it's worked on all my friends who use it, my sis, my mom, you get the picture. I don't think anyone's ever heard of shea butter. It's from a nut that grows from an african tree. Most people I know use it raw and straight from the nut but it can be bought in lotion form. When it's raw it works better though.
here's what it looks like shea butter
So just giving you anothe option.

Thanks hon!!actually ive bought this in the past couple weeks :palmers cocoa butter for stretch markspalmers firming lotion with shea butter*vitamin E capsules (i poke a hole in them and mix it in the lotion)*bio oil (for anyone whoes interested CLICK HERE )nivea good bye celluite and patchesaloe verawhat i do is rub the bio oil all over myself, then i prick a couple capsules and mix it with aloe vera and the stretch mark cream and rub it on. then after that i use the cellulite cream, then after that i rub the firming lotion all over my body. i mix it with a self tanner too just to get a bit of a glow =) i do this twice a day. and i have noticed a difference already =) the only thing that sucks now, is that where im still losing weight pretty fast, im getting more stretch marks.. sigh. so thats why i use the firming lotioni heard that shea butter rocks!!! the next time im out im DEFINATELY looking for it. sorry to ramble, i just wanted to update this thread for a while, but havent got around to it. i also use the bio oil and vitamin e capsules on the scars on my legs. i mentioned about them in another thread.

That's awesome Ash! I've heard of Palmers but not much. So I wouldn't know if they are good or not. From what you say I'm guessing they are. I mostly use products from a line called Carol's Daughter. Her products are unbelievable. But this topic is pretty important and very useful. I couldn't stand the stretch marks that were on my thighs near the buttox area. One of the main reasons I don't go to the beach very much. I don't have it on my chest but my chest was like... pale from the rest of my upper body so I started using a lotion that would at least help even it out a little. And my arms are two-toned. So annoying. I'm lighter on one side of my arm than the other. But the shea butter helps. Not to mention it makes your skin sooooo soft lol
