To cut a long story short, 4-5 days ago I sliped over and managed to land right on my elbow and I was put into a plaster cast from my wrist to over my elbow untill the radiologists report came back.
Today the report came back and said all looks well and the cast was removed.
My question here is to those of you who have been in a cast, how are you ment to feel after it's removed? Back to your own self?
I'd expect weekness if I was in the cast for several weeks but it was less then 4 days. I do not have full range of motion (can't bend it more then 90 degrees to touch my shoulder, nor can I fully extend my arm and can not rotate my hand so my palm faces upwards), some slight movements send shots of pain up from my wrist into my elbow, my hand and forarm feel tingly (like light pins and needles) and cold.
Is this normal and it will take a while for my arm to get back to normal or should I be asking for a second opinion?
And of course it's exam time at the same time...wooo
