I've been on the same pill for over a year. I get spot bleeding when i miss or when i'm late on a pill. My period usually lasts 4 days.
I had spot bleeding for like 5 days in April, and two weeks later when i was supposed to have my period, i didnt.
In my may cycle, i had an extremely light period, prob consisting of no more than a teaspoon of blood in 4 days.
I'm awaiting my next period now, it should have been here yesterday, it's never late, and i've been really good with taking my pill this month.
Should i be worried? if my period doenst show by tommorrow should i get a prenancy test? Should i get one right now?

Spot Bleeding and missing period

Welcome to A2A, spreadeagle. I think it depends on your level of anxiety. You could use one now if you want to. If you're not too anxious it might save your money to wait a few days.It sounds like you're on a very low-dose pill.

Maybe you're abit stressed out or theres another reason your abit late?
Also, your pill sounds like a pain in the bum with all that spotting.

Okkkayy I had forgotten i had taken the morning afterpill about 1 week after the spot bleeding and that caused my period to go all wonky! soo false alarm! phew.I told my boyfriend before after i made the post and we went and got a kit together, i tested negative. Though it was a very good bonding experience with me any boyfriend. I mean the situation wasn't good, but the experience made us feel closer. The next day i remembered about the morning after pill.

_I had forgotten i had taken the morning afterpill about 1 week after the spot bleeding _
Why are you taking the Morning After pill if you are already on oral contraceptives?
-
Because i had forgotten to take my pill one night, and they were at my house, while i was at his house. And it was the last night we would be together for a month. And i hadnt realized till about half way through sex.

I believe you are supposed to take the the missed pill as soon as you realize it even if you are doubling up on the pill. Using the morning-after pill is probably way over the top and unnecessary.

It's okay, i saw a docter for the morning after. Since i was 12 hours late And he said it wouldnt hurt to take it. But thanks for the concern!

I've only had to take the morning after pill once (to be on the super safe side) and I was sick as a dog for atleast 3 days. I never want to take that evil thing again. Also, if you're taking a combined pill and you miss one pill you take the one you forgot as soon as you remember and take then next one at the normal time and you're still fine. You're in the poo when you miss more then one or miss the ones either side of the non-hormonal pills. If you're ever not sure if your stil protected read the instructions for your pill and they usually tell you want to do or ring the nurse at your GPs office. The morning after pill is a big over reaction if you just miss one.
