I just had to post because I feel so dam* fantastic after finishing my project. I was in charge of putting together a prototype IPS unit at work. I had to clean up the Mechanical mess the past Mechanical Designer left. I am so happy I finally finished and got it done. It looks like I made a good point to become their new Mechanical Engineer.Sadly I wish I had some friends to celebrate with, but it was cool to see the unit power and work without the smoke :-DI love engineering.

So when are you going to finish your degree?
-
I am going back to school, as part of my contract agreement with my company, in Spring '09. I will be going after an ME degree.
-
Congratulations on your accomplishment. More to come I am sure. There's not much that beats the feelings that go with a job well done. Great to hear that you'll be finishing your degree. It's sounds like you've come a long way from Purdue.

That's a great achievement to have created something substantial that works. Well done!

I actually have and it feels good. I used to feel so down about not finishing school, but working at Net Optics has shown me a lot. I get to play with IPS from the big names. It is really nice because yesterday before I had finished the unit I had the CEO complimenting me on how it looks.

congratulations

That's great.. Hands on experience helps alot. Don't skip out on your degree.. Without it can/will hold you back.

Well life throws some curve balls and the more successful I am and the more in shape I get the less I have when it comes to friends. LOL do not make have to have this thread transfered!
