It's simple just reply with the number which follows the number in the previous post.I'll start1

How bored are you? Let's do easier math!If it takes 6 men 6 days to dig 6 holes, how long will it take 3 men to dig half a hole?
-
Yes i am very bored.Ummmmm i dont know 25?That was a joke. I'm not that stupid.
-
So what's the real answer?
-
Theres just too many words! :fearful:
-
one sixth of a day?
so, if one day is 24 hours worth of work, then 4 hours.
-
Nope, try again.
-
3 days? Only 1 guy can fit in the hole.
-
Or worse yet, city employees...
-
I come back and no one's bothered to copy and paste the answer, lol! Answer: There's no such thing as half a hole. A hole is a hole.
-
If there are six men, the new, young, bloke will be doing all the digging and the other five will be standing around looking on. So the three men will dig at the same rate as the six men, with two looking on.
-
That's more logical than the original answer, lol!
-
logical and true. lol when i pass some county workers or light engery dudes or whatever usally no one is workign but one.... and SOMETIMES the flag men are working. usally only if there in a curve tho.
-
Well thats lame, and not maths.I figgured 1/2 a hole was 1/2 of a complete hole, like if they had to dig it to a specific depth....
-
That would be half a job, not half a hole, no?
-
True....I think in my desperation for maths I am too eager to solve problems to read the question and use logic...It's almost two years since I've taken a maths paper, I have withdrawl.
