First things first. I am a part time road racer. NOT street racer, but a ROAD racer. What's the difference, you might be asking? Well, street racing is racing on city streets/alleyways illegally for money to fund purchase/modification of your car. ROAD racing is racing on city streets/alleyways, with the permission and funding of the local police department, for money etc etc. I do it LEGALLY, whereas most people in my area do it ILLEGALLY because I love my car, and my license, and my clean record.
ANYWAYS! Just got a call today from my local AutoZone, and they made a mistake. I ordered a new turbocharger recently to replace the one that was on my car when I bought it. The bearing housing was leaking into the turbocharger itself, and not only did it wreck performance, but it smelled awful. The call was telling me that the turbo I ordered was out of stock, and instead of putting in the order anyways so that when they got MORE, it'd be there, they ordered the next lever UP from the one I wanted! And, because they did it without my permission, they are paying the difference, a whopping $442.67! They also told me that, since I don't have to wait for the next shipment, it's here for pickup tomorrow, instead of God knows when!
Just thought I'd put it out here. My excitement is nearly uncontainable. I haven't had to work on an engine in so long, I was beginning to miss it.
