i have been on my birth control for just about a month now.. how long does it take to REALLY start working?..and another thing i was concerned about;me and my boyfriend had sex today, we always use a condom, and he usually pulls out before he cums, and we havent had sex SINCE ive been on BC, but today i got off my period so we decided to do it, and he came inside me but he still had the condom on and i was on BC.. what are the chances of getting pregnant? i am thinking that it isnt really possible? cum cant come out of the condom unless their is a hole in it, right?.. and at the base of the condom its suppose to be pretty tight, but i am just mostly concerned and hoping none came from under the base part where it is tight, if you get what i am trying to explain? haha, thanks for any advice!

no need to worry. im pretty sure if you take bc regularly every day, it becomes effective a few weeks after you start. taking them. im just as paranoid as you are when it comes to getting pregnant. the ex used a condom AND pulled out, and i was still paranoid. lol.

If you've been on an oral contraceptive for four weeks it should now be fully effective. Given there was a condom as well, your chances of being pregnant are zero. Each condom is tested to make sure there are no holes. The chance of sperm leaking out at the base is effectively zero, provided your boyfriend leaves a little room at the tip for the ejaculate, as the instructions say to, and provided he pulls out before going soft. But even if he didn't do things perfectly, since you are on an oral contraceptive as well you won't get pregnant.
