Hey guys. for a while now ive had these. every now and then i get these "pimple like" bumps on the insides of my thighs. now im not skinny by no means, so my thighs do rub together. and i spend a lot of time on the computer, so i sit down a lot. sometimes there filled, other times there just red, and they go away after a few days. its not an sti, because ive only been with one guy, who was a virgin like myself. i prefer not going to a doctor. im just wondering if its normal. im a bit embarrassed because i have some scarring down there as well. does anyone have this problem? i mean, soemtimes i can go for weeks without having this problem, and it seems that if im sitting down a lot, i guess theres pressure on my legs. the chair im sitting in is REALLY uncomfortable, so maybe thats not helping either.Im also clean shaven down there, but i dont really shave around the areas that break out, so i have no idea.. can someone please help me figure out what this is? is there any over the counter meds that can help me? im so embarrassed for posting this. =(

I think the rubbing is significant. In skin that gets rubbed regularly, either by other skin or by clothes, dead skin cells can get rubbed into pores, blocking them. This can lead to bumps as sweat or sebum backs up behind the blockage. There are scrubs that claim to clear blocked pores - perhaps you could try them.

yeah thats very true. i heard that those microdermabrasion cloths are good. should i try those? and what about the scarring, is there anything over the counter i could get to treat that?

There's plenty of over-the-counter scar treatment products. Just finding one that works can be a hassle. You have to be very diligent when using it because it often requires a couple weeks of daily treatment. Here are some: Onion extract, Silicone sheets, and Alpha Hydroxy Acids. I pulled this quote from an article on scar treatment, "Some studies have concluded that over-the-counter scar treatments are 25 - 50 percent effective at reducing the spreading and darkening of scars." So I would try and find the products I listed above instead.

I get them as well. I just try to ignore them and they go away after a bit.
