78 playing tense... is he pictured under spry in the dictionary. I hope I can play anything should I ever be lucky enough to reach that age. I don't remember what my BP got up to last week. I was to busy avoiding light, wanting people to shut the fuck up, and puking to take much note. The doc said the BP was probably what was causing the headaches. The bloody eyes was probably caused by all the puking (that's what I think anyway). I have been on blood pressure meds since June, they just upped the dosage last week.I may have already said it, (I can't remember when shit took place anymore) but I do have hypoglycemia. Nobody seems to be to worried about it but mom and my wife. The docs just kinda brush it off as unimportant or put it as the cause of everything. Neither of which do I agree is the right approach.I'm just tired of dealing with it and doctors and...

Shit going on with me...

I'd just like to clarify before I go on, that even though my name suggests it, I'm not an MD. Anyway, down to business, I like to research things (more for my own morbid reasons than anything else) and I would be inclined to agree that your problems could be a combination of stress, thrown in with other things... what we're really looking at here, is your BP, I'm thinking that if you have say 4 or 5 symptoms of stress (or more... I got to 7 with this in febuary, and I popped a gasket at my boss) along with your high blood pressure could cause a good deal of your symptoms. The reason I rule out your tumour, is because largely, what the doctors say is right here... there are an awful lot of people who would have this particular tumour and never ever have any symptoms, it's actually very common, heck, there's a very real chance that at least one other person who uses this site has the exact same thing!!Now for something completely different, my dad actually got a lot of these symptoms from something completely unrelated, so as I don't know what the doctors have said/asked/tested, how do your kidneys feel? Because my dad had vertigo/high blood pressure/sickness/headaches all because of what turned out to be a pesky kidney stone, which they blasted with the ultrasound and he was fine again... I know that's a simple solution, and probably likely already been tested for/asked about, but, well, as with everyone here, I just want to try and do some good I hope all goes well with the surgeon, and I hope you find out what's wrong soon, believe me, waiting for these things, I know from experience is not a fun thing :S so I hope all goes well, my thoughts are with you and remember let us know how things go!!And, perhaps it's a blessing in disguise, because without these symptoms your tumour wouldn't have been detected, and as has already been stated, the earlier these things are spotted, the better! You're in a really good position as it's very very small, and hopefully, all should go well ... I guess, the only question is; whether you wanna keep it in a lil glass jar afterwards

Thanks for the insight. Nobody has ever mentioned or looked at it being a kidney stone. As far as I can tell I have no kidney problems. Did your dad have any reason to think it was a kidney stone? I mean did he have pains or something besides just the symptoms you listed?I'm not worried about the tumor, at least not since I talked to the doc a couple of weeks ago. I've kinda always felt it was stress induced symptoms anyway.I saw my psych last week. She asked me to ask my co-workers and such if they've seen a change in my personality? She's wondering about brain chemistry I guess. I haven't asked them. In this office we don't even say good morning to one another. No one here speaks to anyone else unless it's about a project at hand... one of the reasons for my stress I'm sure. No one ever laughs in here anymore, let alone smile. Shit they wouldn't smile if their life depended on it. Why people want to go through life like that I don't know... but I digress. To get back to the point, the doc wants to know if there is an appreciable change in my personality and she wants more than just my wife and mother's opinion, so I'll ask you fine folk. Is there a noticeable change in me over the last six months or year?I think I'm more short with people...What do you think?Give it to me straight doctor. I can take it!There's an obscure reference.
-
Well I cannot say that I think you're more short with people, at least not that I noticed on the boards. But I will say you seem more blunt or straight forward than "normal", but you have always been openly honest (Which is one of the reasons I like ya so much  )

Glad to hear your dad is doing well SDP. I agree with Eddie and would also like to add, I have noticed you swear alot more now. Kind of like a 'not so angry' Chance. I don't know if that means anything, but it's just something I have noticed.

I think anyone suffering pain like you have been would be more short with people in real life.I'm praying it turns out to be something as simple as a kidney stone.

Common symptoms of kidney stones range from None all the way through to painful urination/unable to urinate and pains in the kidney's... if you drink a lot of tea/coffee you're actually much more likely to get kidney stones, especially if you like it strong!! So, that could be something to look at.At first there weren't any symptoms for my dad, but then the stone tried to "pass" and we had to call an ambulance, because my mum and I thought he was having a heart attack, as he basically collapsed, had a cold sweat and the 999 people thought he was having a heart attack :S ... thank goodness it was something so simple... he hadn't been feeling to hot for ages before that though, and had pretty much the same symptoms as you for about 2 weeks before that happened... my dad being my dad though, decided to just soldier on, so whether it would have been a medical mystery until he tried to pass it or not over here, I can't answer, it's just something I feel might be worth asking about... I'm probably totally on the wrong track, but as the saying goes, every little helps and, if it turns out to be nothing, it's one less thing to worry about I myself had the whole workup about a month ago now... everything, blood count, kidney function, sti testing, the works, just for my emigration medical... that was scary enough on its own, but at least, that's my "10 year checkup" as it's said you should get a medical every 10 years and I know I'm good now There are a myriad of things that could cause your symptoms, I actually have another friend (I just realised I have a lot of friends who don't function well!!! lol) who has a heart condition (not serious) that means she can't fly and stuff, and it can occassionally cause the symptoms you say with the vertigo and the headaches... no high blood pressure though, but I'd still be inclined to put that down to stress... there are a lot of online stress testers you can do, and I'd suggest doing one of those, and being as honest as you can on it, at least you can judge yourself if you're suffering to much stress then Anyway, I hope this helps you out
