Their ongoing attempts to sell Vancouver and make people wanna visit there are totally working on me. I'd love to shoot up there sometime.
-
it's a pretty nice city. I've only been there once.
It has a bit of that pretentious west coast thing going on but it's still nice.oh, and both out womens and mens hockey teams seem to be off to a nice start

Perhaps the Americans will make a movie of the Canadians winning gold in hockey.Congrats, you guys!
-
maybe lolah, it is nice to enjoy such a vigorous rivalry with our closest friends That was some good Olympics though, yup yup
-
Woo Hoo! I made forty bucks! O Canada our home and native land... I was busy at the movies watching Cop Out but forty bucks is forty bucks. You can tell what a sports fan I am.
-
Not only did we win last night but we also hold the new record for most gold medals won and the most golds won at home:) WHooohooooo!!!
-
yep, we actually won the Olympics
-
I, of course, am a USA-ian, and I rooted for the USA pretty much all the time, but two of the coolest moments for me were when the Canadians won the gold in ice dance and the gold in hockey. Just really cool moments. They were made cooler by the massive home team support and by the previous Canadian home turf curse. (Stef, if I understand correctly, it would have only taken one gold medal to break the Canadian record for the most golds won at home. Not that big of an accomplishment, no?)Congrats Canadians. At the same time, I can't help but remember the 2002 winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Every time there was a USA victory and a huge outpouring of pride in joy in the USA team, we were accused of grandstanding and inappropriate "flag waving" and other pejorative declarations. So how is all of the Canadian hooping and hollering any different?
-
Big Congrats to the Canadians!
-
oh that's simple... because we don't do it every single time someone farts
