okay, so i am on birth control, goin on my second pack. (have never been on any kind of bc before) and i am starting my sugar pill tomorrow night, which means; i think- that i should be starting my period.. but this entire past week i have been spotting.. and it is dark, like brownISH.. kind of weird?.. freaking me out too haha.. is this normal? should i be worried?and another thing, me and my boyfriend are REAL safe, so id think, but i am on BC and he uses a condom, and we had sex at the beginning of this month, and he came inside me but WITH the condom, there was no "leak" in it, but i am jus concerned that it did not leak out of the "base" part that is closer to his body? w/e you call it.. he usually pulls out WITH a condom, but this time he didnt on accident i guess and it has just gotten my paranoid!..- basically i am hoping there is no way i could of gotten pregnant, considering i am on BC and he used a condom..thanks for advice in advance!

Weird spotting?

If you're onto your second month on BC, and your boyfriend used a condom, even though he came instead of pulling out you should be quite safe.
Spotting is quite common when starting oral contraceptives, so it's quite normal.

Have you ever been physically checked up before taking the pills? There are lots of contributing factor that leads to your situation. 1st, Your body might be reacting to the pills you have taken from the first pack. 2nd, the pills you have now is not the right pills for you:) The birth control pill is a safe and effective method of birth control. Most young women who take the Pill have none to very few side effects. The side effects that some women have while on the Pill include: * irregular menstrual bleeding * nausea, weight gain, headaches, dizziness, and breast tenderness * mood changes * blood clots (rare in women under 35 who do not smoke)Not all women can — or should — use the Pill. In some cases, medical or other conditions make the use of the Pill less effective or more risky. For example, it is not recommended for women who have had blood clots, certain types of cancers, or certain types of migraine headaches. It's recommended that girls who have had unexplained vaginal bleeding (bleeding that is not during their periods) or who suspect they may be pregnant should talk to their doctor.Girls who are interested in learning more about different types of birth control, including the Pill, should talk to their doctors or other health professionals.

yes, i went for my first gyno visit to start taking BC and such.. and advised me to lo-ovral(sp?).. and they said take it for about 3 months and if doesnt regulate after then, then i would probably get switched to something else, after the first month my period was no different, i actually felt worse, but this entire past week i had been spotting, and should be starting my period any day now bc today is my first day on the "sugar pill" so.. im guessin i should be starting? maybe i will feel/be different this time!

YUP, AS SOON AS IT IS THE TIME FOR YOU TO START THE NEW PACK AS PER YOUR OB ADVICES TO YOU, THEN DO IT AND JUST FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEING NOTED ON THE PACK. I'M STILL VIRGIN AND NEVER TRIED THOSE STUFFS BUT I'M A NURSE BY PROFESSION HANDLING THE OR AND DR. I'VE GOT TONS OF PATIENTS WHO EXPERIENCED THE SAME WAY IN TAKING PILLS BUT AS TIME GOES BY AS SOON AS THEIR BODY ALREADY ADJUSTED THEN THEY ARE AT EASED AND CONFIDENT IN HAVING ANOTHER PACK FOR THE NEXT FOLLOWING MONTH. JUST GIVE IT A TRY AGAIN BUT IF SYMPTOMS PERSIST, GO AND SEE YOUR OB...
