I haven't posted on here in a while, but i've been trying to figure out something. My friends mom has had major back pains and all for a while, she smokes pot every once in a while. But thats not the problem. My friend told me that she takes up to 130 norcos(sp?) in a week and a half. And those are from what i know pretty strong muscle relaxers or something. And she seems kind of bi-polar, one minute shes happy, then the next shes screaming at my friend. Question 1) From what you guys think, is she addicted to these pills?Question 2) Do you think the pills have to do with her freaking out?

A question about my friends mom

Norco is a tradename for a particular firm's mixture of acetaminophen/paracetamol and hydrocodone. Both are pain relievers, and she was probably originally prescribed them for her back pain, but it does sound like she is now addicted. The hydrocodone is a weakened opiate (morphine-like drug) and is addictive. There is much more acetaminophen than hydrocodone, and high doses of acetaminophen play havoc with the liver, so this doesn't sound good at all.She might perhaps be happy when she's just had a hit, and screaming when withdrawal is setting in (plus liver pain from her damaged liver).
