I'm surprised no one said anything. And there's like two hours left of the day. But I'll just leave this here in remembrance of the the thousands of innocent people who were killed on 9/11.And to our brave soldiers, firemen, policemen, who risked their lives to save others. And personally from myself: Dean McCombe R.I.P. and Anita Sanchez R.I.P.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yd8kRzAEKH8http://www.mustangmods.com/data/36/sept11th.jpghttp://www.3pointd.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/wtc-3d2.jpghttp://secondedition.files.wordpress.com/2007/09/9-11memorial_002_512.jpg

9/11 Memorial
-
I came to work after running an errand today and saw our flags at half staff. I came in and said "Who died?". I guess I forgot.
-
It's weird knowing it's been 7 years already. I still remember that day like it was yesterday...
-
Yeah I found today pretty depressing. I actually woke up at the exact time of the anniversary of the first plane hitting the tower so I was immediately bombarded by all the memorial services and stuff that was on tv. Then my school did a service out on campus. I haven't been able to shake that depressed feeling since I woke up.
I remember a few months after the attacks I was taking a flight out of Logan Airport at the same American Airlines terminal that 2 of the planes left from. They had a huge American flag hanging up right on the opposite wall from where you walk in. That room had such a strange feeling of sadness that hits you the second you step in it. I've never experienced anything like it.
I can't get over the fact that it has already been 7 years. I remember that day like it was yesterday.
-
me too.I was wondering why I felt so different waking up this morning. Everyone was so melancholy today.
-
Would it be ok to put in a word for the hundreds of thousands of people who have also died as a result of 9/11?
-
i forgot too until they talked about it on the radio. I couldn't believe it had been that long... but.. I guess I didn't remember because it doesnt really affect me that much. It did seven years ago.
-
Hundreds?? plural? Perhaps a little overdramatizing on your part?
-
Yeah, it didn't affect me personally and I'm not the type who dwells on the past.

10s of thousands seems like a lot too. I thought it was around 3000
-
It depends on who you are counting... If you count Iraqi's who have died from direct and indirect fighting and violence since they were invaded by the US, then their numbers alone are around 90,000. Add all the other countries....
-
They need to get those troops out of there:(
-
It was 3000 people that died in the attacks alone (4 planes, pentagon, twin towers).
-
yup, i get that now.
-
Yeah sorry, I was doing something else and it took me awhile before I submitted the reply and by then the others had already replied to you.
-
3000 is alot of people
-
Yes it is, and I don't even want to think about how many have died in Iraq and Afghanistan etc. since then.
