Im a fool. A DRUNKEN FOOL.I went out to the bar on tuesday night.. first time in a very long time.. and I fell and broke my foot. It's actually more of a sprain, but I broke a bone in my foot. Now I have two broken bones in my foot... isnt that fantastic???Anyways.. I did this about two years ago at Oktoberfest on my 19th birthday.. I didn't go to the doctor and was in pain for a long time. I went to the doctors yesterday and he told me to treat it as a sprain.. to stay off of it, ice it and keep it in a tensor bandage.Any tips?? I want this foot to heal faster than last time.

I dont like drinking. I usually don't drink. My friends talked me into it. Like I said it was the first time I went out all summer.. sure i've drank.. but only at home.I look like a pirate when I walk.

The only two things I've broken are bof my feet, so I have experience..Elevate the foot higher than the heart when laying down. When and if you have physical therapy, DO IT. Don't put it off, the pain might be unbearable, but in the long run it's for your own good. Your foot will gain mobility again.

i don't know about a broken foot but every time i had a sprain i had to keep it up. higher than your body up. something about the blood flow...and to me it made it feel better. not so much throbbing. really that's all i was told to do. keep it up, soak in in hot water, ice pack it, and take the meds that were given for swelling and pain..
sprains take longer to heal than breaks.
