The Beatles

I've grown somewhat weary of the Beatles but that's not to say they weren't a great band in their day
My favorite song is probably Helter Skelter
I also love the tribute to the Beatles done by the Meat Men shortly after John's death
"One Down, Three to Go" -
Ha!I remember hearing the horrible joke:Q: What would it take to reunite the Beatles?A: Three more bullets.Of course, that's not relevant now that George is dead.
-
I can't believe I actually found this one down, three to go it's a bit of a crappy live bootleg but the immortal Tesco Vee still shines brightly

Quote:Anyone else a fan? I used to be but not really anymore. They do have some awesome songs but none my fav. I remember singing one of their songs in a school play in like...6th grade. So weird but much fun.

i'd take Slipknot over the Beatles any day and every day. HAHA well i do.my thing is when people have a band they really like (fav) mine tend to change. right now it's slipknot (cuz the new CD)..i like it way more than the other i have. I've only heard the very beginning of the new guns n roses song. i'm not much into them tho but like the Beatles i'll listen and do have some songs i like. but isn't just saying I Am The Walrus..coo coo cachoo hilarious.. maybe it's me and my oddness tho. Anyone else a fan? No (my mom is)Whats your top 3 fave songs?? Already answered but I‘m bored. .. So00o go swimming…. lol

-
I love Slipknot but I haven't heard the new ablum yet
-
Slipknot scares the crap out of me! One of my guy friends set me up so badly. I was listening to his ipod and I liked some of the music he had on there. And he recommended that I look up Slipknot. So I did.... and I had nightmares... for like... a week. He's a dirty bumchock.
-
lol
if you think Slipknot is scary, I've have a few CDs that might actually be fatal!! -
Jars of Clay = really good band
-
Got any Slayer in your collection?
-
ew.Lets please keep this topic on the beatles and not on bands that dont even compare.
-
Piggies, Cry Baby Cry, and Love me do.
-
of course I have Slayer. Don't forget, I'm old so I had Slayer when it was new lol (but not old enough to own any Beatles)Now, if you want something that will cause a spontaneous bowl evacuation, you should listen to Crawlchild

It is SO easily overlooked at what an enormous contibution George Harrison gave to the BeatlesAll that distinctive lead guitarAll of those vocal harmoniesThey were MUCH more than Lennon and McCartneyhttp://au.youtube.com/watch?v=X1guu5ra_y0&feature=related

Wow...interesting video. I see McCartney on piano and Ringo on drums...Clapton (predictably) doing the lead guitar work. But I also see members of Boston...Scholtz and Goodreau...as well. Sort of "who's who in the zoo" at the time. Cool.
Yeah...Harrison had a lot more input that folks generally give him credit for. Conversely, some of the stuff generally credited to him were actually Lennon or McCartney. One of my favs is Paperback Writer...McCartney did the lead in the studio, though most folks assume in was Harrison. Obviously Harrison did it live.

Helter Skelter... uhmmmmm... ummmmm... uhhh... that's the only one I can think of right now.My music tastes are bit eclectic. Right now the CD player in my car has Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, Evanescence, Nickleback, Harry Conick Jr. and Ray Charles. On my visor are The Dresden Dolls, The Clash, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, old Metallica, Anthrax, Lena Horn, Smashing Pumpkins, Billie Holiday, Pearl Baily, old Nickleback and Satchmo... oh and Slipknot among others.Of all those the only song I can even think of right now is the Trent Reznor's song Hurt sung by Johnny Cash.

Love that song.

I thought of this one last night when I was out riding my bike, Twist and Shout has to be my favorite.
