However, my kind would not wish your kind to be on an extinction list...that's largely where we differ.

I wish you no misfortune other than a rude awakening

Okay I play along for shits and giggles...Lets say this all stems back all because of Clinton. Than why in 8 years couldn't Bush fix it? What makes you think that after 8 years of Bush not being able to fix these supposed mistakes made by Clinton that McCain, who voted 90% of the time with Bush, would have done any better?Wake up and smell the coffee! Bush had 8 years of presidency and I cannot think of one good thing he has done for this country except make the rich richer, and increase his own pocket book. Good riddens and welcome change!

damnBush was only days away from personally catching Bin Laden!

I think it's you two who will be in for the rude awakening...Eddie the worst, as he actually lives here. He mentions (in his next post) about Bush making the rich richer? You haven't looked at Obama's tax plans and the history of democrats. Dems always (historically) raise taxes. Obama has stated he will not extend Bushes tax cuts which expire in 2010, I believe. As a result, in spite of changes he has waived in front of our noses, taxes in 2010 will be higher than they are now. Where do you think that money will go?Be careful when you ask for change...you may get it.

I'm sooo happy that Obama won. This is such a huge step forward for our country. I hope it continues. I gotta give props to McCain though, he lost very gracefully. I have alot of respect for people that handle situations like that as well as he did.

You SERIOULY don't think America needs change??I Changed my vote this year because I wanted change. Didnt get it.Lucky Americans.

One can only hope!I am not saying Obama's plans are all 100% perfect, but they are at least a step in the right direction. Do I want higher taxes? Of course not, but if we are going to be honest with ourselves, if we are planning on digging ourselves out of this shithole Bush left us we don't have many other options. At least we have a president this time thats going to fight for the middle class, instead of the rich. But seriously at this point if there any need to bitch and moan about Obama being president? It's too early to tell whats going to happen. Sit back and enjoy the ride, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Similar propositions were going in Florida and Arizona. Both passed I think. What the fuck is wrong with these people?

Apart from the tax issue you raised earlier, why are you so opposed to Obama? If I may ask...

Being close-minded and self-absorbed is what's wrong with people. As long as it doesn't affect them directly they don't mind restricting rights and adding hate into the constitution.

I voted No on CA's Prop 8, but I wouldn't mind if the definition of marriage were strictly Man & Woman. However, if that is the case, then there need to be similar rights for homosexual unions (whatever it may be called) as in heterosexual unions. Hey... If they want it, they can get divorced, pay alimony and deal with all the other crap like us, right?
