When I was pregnant a few months back I got horrible morning sickness and got really strong aversions to certain foods that I used to love. I couldn't handle any meat at all, especially hot chicken. Sadly I miscarried but I'm now starting to get the constant nausea and meat aversion all over again. Pork pie earlier was just horrendous. Butter, dried fruit and crisps make me gag now too. Better get another HPT I think lol. Anyone else have any strange aversions when they were pregnant?

Pregnancy + food aversions

When my mum was pregnant she could not enter a supermarket because she coudn't stand the smell of the meat which made her gag.

My mother used to eat quite a bit of peanut butter when she was pregnant with me, she doesn't eat that anymore, not really sure if its relevant to her pregnancy but can't be a coincidence.

I drank a shot of blackberry schnapps the first month I was pregnant (not knowing I was pregnant at this point of course). To this day I cannot smell, eat, or drink anything blackberry flavored.

Awwww! So I cannot make you any of my homemade blackberry ice cream??? :frowning:
My mother said when she was pregnant with me she ate pickles and chewed ice chips all the time. Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but I love pickles! People usually have to make me stop, because I can sit and eat and whole jar pickles without realizing it lol.

One with less discretion could say that if she gagged on the meat to begin with she wouldn't have been pregnant in the first place. ...Sorry I read that and just couldn't help myself. That's just to easy... Now to all, my most sincere apologies for my juvenile outbursts. Sometimes I just can't help myself and have to give in to my inner 12 year old.
