Hello all...So, let me tell you the whole situation. About a week ago, my girlfriend was just finishing up her period. The morning after it finished, we had sex. We used a condom, and I am about 90% sure it didn't break (though that percent goes down daily!). The same night, she was sick and her breasts were actually lactating (I believe... they were releasing something). We brought two pregnancy tests and used one that night and one in the morning, about a little but after she woke up. Both tests were negative. However, she is still worried because she is gaining weight. She said since September, she has gained about 10 pounds. She had been eating more than usual, so that's what I attribute it to. However, could that also be because of pregnancy?I know a majority of the signs point to nothing, but please... can someone help me out with a logical answer as to what could possibly have been going on. The thing that honestly worries me the most is lactation... however, I've read that is mostly likely to happen during the third month, and she wouldn't have had her period for all those months while being pregnant, right? The only other thing to add is occasionally we begin sex by not using a condom, but never for an extended period of time, and then we put a condom on. Thanks for all your help...

Please help... possible pregnancy question
-
Well she's definitely not pregnant from sex a week ago. Symptome do not show up for a month or so. I can't say that she didn't get pregnant from previous sex. What's going on with her breasts I can't say, but if she were pregnent from a month ago, then the tests should show positive.. If she is "lactating" she might have hormonal problems and she should see a doctor.

Thanks for the reply! Also, I think it is pertinent to mention that she is always on bith control.
Any more opinions?

It's possible to get apparent pregnancy symptoms, including breast discharge (even lactation), without pregnancy. See here for example.

While she is experiencing some signs normailly associated with pregnancy, the does mean that there ARE from pregnancy. Certainly they don't show up as quickly as the same night, and if she's been gaining weight since before that morning, any pregancy couldn't have been from that session. Since you said that pregnancy tests have been negative, and later said that she's also on birth control, there must be something other that pregancy going on. She should probably inform her doctor. On another note, not using a condom (no matter the time of penetration) is risky. Withdrawal is probably the least effective means of birth control. You would be probably be covered by her birth control, but if you're going to use a condom for safety, it should be applied before any genital to genital contact. There can be sperm present in pre-cum depending on how long it's been since your last ejaculation and urination.

I agree with others on this, it maybe hormonal imbalance. She needs to see a doctor.
