I have a high metabolism and find it really hard to gain muscle from working out. When should I be eating for optimum use of the protein and stuff. Before or after the workout? What kind of things are better to eat?Thanks.

It's best you eat all the time. To the OP: You simply have to eat more. Serve yourself bigger meals, eat snacks, eat right before bed, always have breakfast (a decent sized one), get a high carb (not sugar) protein powder and drink one of those 4-5 times a day.Protein is important, but if you're eating as much as I recommend you'll be getting enough anyway, especially from the shakes.
