ive never really been able to remember much of my dreams before but in the last few months ive been having one of those recuuring dreams that sort of take place right where they left off in quite vivid detail im a male 18 years of age, and i have been having this dream as though im a girl, kind of like a second life. at first it was more interesting than anyhting but the most recent one really freaked me out it ended with a guy undressing me i would say more but its too embarrasing to say even anonymously is this something i should be worried about or do i just have a really overactive imagination i mean i know it was just a dream but it felt real and i remember it like i actually happened

Very wierd dreams

I think recurring dreams tend to embody something that often occupies our subconscious. It's not necessarily anything true - it's often a deep-seated fear. My recurring dreams are always of me doing something stupid with disastrous consequences.Perhaps you are worried about being gay, or being regarded as gay - though I'm sure there are a dozen other possible interpretations.
-
I don't give dreams much credence but one way of sometimes getting reoccurring dreams to stop is figure out the meaning behind them. (Please realize I using meaning very, very loosely. I'm talking more about a thought exercise than determining any real hidden information of value.)One method of doing this is making the realization that every participant in the dream is you or a manifestation of some part of you psyche. So, in your case your not only the girl but the guy undressing the girl. Both represent manifestations of the inner you. Further, you may also take it as far as all actions in the dream are actions your psyche is, on some level, controlling and thus what happens outside your will (your will in the dream) you are actually perpetrating. For instance, the knife wielding maniac in a dream is not only a part of the character of the dreamer, the action he make take stabbing you is a manifestation of the dreamers will. It's a school of thought on dream analysis, for whatever that's worth.Using this method of interpretation I see something as simple as sexual desire in your dream. Keeping in mind what I think of your dream is of no value and only you the dreamer can ascribe any meaning to the characters and actions in the dream, I'll tell you what occurs to me. With what little you have reveled all I see is someone that wants to be taken. You desire an assertive partner who will take the lead or maybe to some degree dominate you. Your psyche sees that as being the role of the man in sexual situations and so rather than being with a man, which may be of no sexual interest to you, your subconscious makes you a woman who is taken, used, dominated, what have you, by a man, who, remember, is also you. To me it simply sounds like you want a partner who's the aggressor in your sexual relationship. Now trash my interpretation cause it has no meaning or value, I just sight it as an example, and come up with your own interpretation using the above described method. The conclusion you come to is the important one, not the one anyone else tries to come up with.Having said all that I will say again I don't put an real stock in dreams having an great organized meaning, most of the time anyway. Quite the contrary I think they are disorganized random thoughts hewn together, which the conscious mid then tries to meld into some kind of coherence and attribute meaning there to.

I think something stressful happened in your life that may have triggered these dreams.
Or you may be denying attention, love and care to someone and feeling guilty about it.But thats how I see it, I could also be wrong.
 Or maybe you are psychic and seeing somebody else's life through your dreams..........just kidding  ...dont take me seriously.

do you know alot about dreams?
-
i must say that has been one of the best explainations on dreams i have ever heard in my entire life but anyways its really wierd but its almost like i can picture the place in my head, heck even me as a girl i guess what freaked me out though is that in my dream it all seemed normal, like in there i was supposed to be a girl um if youve ever seen stargate sg1 one of the members of the original team is sort of stuck between lives one being in a dream and one is suposedly real life. on one side he is part of a military task force guarding the planet and the other hes a fire fighter its sort of like that and secondly do you really think there is some meaning to my dream cause im freakin out as is without realizing some subconcious desire for a sex change
-
I love SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis!
-
so then youve seen the episodewhen tielk is actually on a battle field hallucinating hes in two different world

What I think doesn't matter, but no. Given I'm not in your head and outside what little you posted in this thread, I know nothing about you, but I don't see any reason that this would have anything to do with any underlying desire for a sex change. As for the realism that's just how the brain works. New studies have shown that even the conscious mind is capable of perceiving the body as a different person or even a different sex. That being the case the realness of the dream is of no consequence. I'll see if I can find the article and post it hear.
_________________________________________________________________Sorry, I can't find the article again. I think I read it on LiveScience. Basically it was claiming that some researcher had been able to make the subjects brain perceive that it belonged to another body by use of some virtual reality technology. The could touch the body that the brain perceived it was in and the brain would feel the touch even though they had not actually touched the person. There were even able to make the brain perceive that it was in a body of the opposite sex and even in a mannequin. They could not get the brain to perceive that it was in anything to far removed from a human form.

you know when you really think about it there are a lot of things that seem better for women. like its socially acceptable to be open with your feelings and not be judged. men are bound by our own standards to a point where you have to be some emotional brick wall, without running the risk of being made fun of by your peers. oh what itd be to always know what the other side is like. without our boundaries, there would be know hope or inspiration nothing to look forward to
-
Men are not the only one who are bound by standards or risking being made fun of by peers. Some women too have similar problems.
The only thing I like about being a female is that I have a nice body and I am good looking  I cant express my feelings to anyone or ask anyone anything thats how ended up at this forum.
Whether you are a man or a woman you should never try to ignore your emotions to be socially accepted, repressing your emotions doesnt do any good.
I deleted a part of my first post cos OldFolks had already given an explanation, I thought my explanation wont be good enuf. Here it is anyway:
The male in you dream is the masculine aspect of your psyche which is assertive, rational and competetive. The female is the feminine aspect of your psyche which represents love, care etc etc and sometimes even guilt. Undressing actually represents awareness. Your dream is not related to sexual things in any way.
In short your dream just means that you are unaware of your feelings or that may be you are hiding your feelings cos you are afraid that some dominant figure may find out.
Or you maybe denying somebody your love/care and feeling guilty about it.
If the guy in your dreams looked like someone you know then maybe you are unaware of his intentions or his dominance towards you and you should be careful around that person.Thats why I said before that something has triggered your dreams, if you find what it was then it will help you to understand why you are having these dreams.
But thats how I interpreted your dream and everyone has their own way of seeing things.

hey i found that link on livescience i think http://www.livescience.com/health/070823_out_of_body.htmlwell thank anyways. you all have been very inciteful

That's not the article I was thinking of, though it very closely related. The article I was talking about takes it to the next step.

I don't want to seem like I'm trying to out do you but, I have dreams like that. Except that in my dreams I remember my past dreams and it's like it's it's own world, with places that I can visit any time I want from past dreams as if it were just like the real world. I try not to be so superstitious but, somtimes dreams can give signs of oncoming events in life. Just food for thought.

wow thats pretty much how it kinda goes, i mean its like its really happening except im a girl.on a side note i kinda feel like i gotta get this one off my back. the last dream i had like that it was just me and him watching a movie but it was kinda nice to be held like that

@Roc Me and the wife have just finished watching the whole series this last two week. I still feel like they should have continued Stargate Atlantis, I feel like there is still some closer needed there.
