I wanna quit smoking.I started smoking when I was 10 its been 15-16 years now and I really wanna quit it so I dont fall back into the habit.I know there are drugs available to help in lessening the withdrawl effects, as well as patches/gum available. But I wanna know what works best so I can quit it completely. All advices are welcome. Esp., from ex-smokers and what worked for them.

Stop smoking

People I know who have successfully quit have just up and quit. No patches, no gum, nothing. They just throw the cigs away, and don't buy anymore. It takes a lot of will power though.

I can smoke, take it or leave it, but I know that if I've been partying, drinking and oversmoking... it's easier to drop it if you physically get sick of the smoking. Maybe you can chain smoke until you want to throw up or pass out and you will feel disgusted to pick it up again.

Tried that sdp and also what Flea said......Its didnt work I smoke 8-16 cigs/day which isnt such a big deal but I cant go without a cig for more than a few hours. The max time I went without one in all these years is 18 hrs.I dont like smoking and I cant stop it either I had some serious drinking as well as drugs related problems but I quit those very easily but smoking--I am finding it hard to quit.
