Im so very disappointed right now. College semester starts in less than a week and i wont be able to go. I cant go back to school this semester because we dont have any money and i didnt apply for financial aid fast enough I am not a big fan of school but that doesnt mean i want to be some burn out bum doing Mc jobs for the rest of my life. Im not saying thats what happens to everyone im just saying i dont want that to happen to me. I was looking forward to getting into a class where i can exercise my brain because i know it so dearly needs it right now. On top of that i cant find a job worth shit. Ive applied everywhere and have gotten 0 response. I was told to check in with safeway again next week and hopefully that will pan out. I am so desperate for work right now i would do anything. I just want money so me and my mom can get on our feet because we are struggling so bad right now and so i can go to school!!!!!!!Sorry i just needed to get that out. Im going to try to go back to school during summer, until then im going to take this time off to try to find a job and work full time for awhile.

Well don't give up on the financial aid area, it's not really too late. My last semister I went to college I was "late" signing up for financial aid. You can still sign-up for financial aid, though you might have to front up some money to your school until the aid kicks in, but your school will refund the money you put up. Just something to think about Sometimes schools are willing to let you attend classes as long as they know financial aid is on the way without having to put money upfront.

Sorry to hear that, I wish I had something more constructive to say.

if you get the right kind of financial aid they give you a 1000 bucks per quarter to buy books and you can use the rest for living, you usualy end up with around 800 bucks for the 3 months which is pretty nice to have

Im sorry buddy. I wish I had something more to say but I think we already talked about this briefly. Things should start looking up soon.. I hope!
You know I'm always here to talk.

Eventually you'll get a job and as long as you keep working hard and fill out the financial aid forms for the next semester you'll be in school and hating your homework in no time.

I don't know if i'll be much help but have you looked for jobs within your university? Like office/administrative type jobs...atleast at some schools you can attend classes at a reduced tuition or some schools will let you go for free.
