Okay, so, I'll get straight to the point.I have been trimming my pubic hairs for quite some time and only until a few days ago (about three I believe?) I actually shaved everything. Tonight while I was using the bathroom, I noticed something strange. On the pelvic region above my penis and below my waist I can see some prickly hairs coming back, but, I can also see small pimple-looking white dots scattered around that area. Maybe I was using a bad shaving technique or what but I have no idea what's going. I used a fresh razor and everything. There was no sign of this the day after shaving so I'm a bit confused. I'm ruling out an STD because I'm only fifteen and the only sexual contact I've had so far was a simple 'helping hand' from my girlfriend. Any help? I'm just worried that this may be something serious! Thanks in advance guys.

Shaved. Left with some problems...
-
i think it might just be black heads, or in this case, white. how did you shave? did you go against the hair, or with it? because if you shave against, yeah you get a closer shave, but you run the risk of in-grown hairs too, which aren't a big deal, but can hurt like a bitch. i don't think it's serious, but keep an eye on it, to make sure that it's not.

Yeah, I did go against the grain.Big mistake I'm guessing?I usually go against the grain when shaving my face and it hasn't produced any negative results so I figured, 'why not?'
-
no, it's not a big mistake. on the face, arm, leg, wherever, it's not, you just have a greater chance for ingrown hairs popping up.
-
Ah, alright.Well, now I can rest easy knowing that it isn't too big a deal. Thanks again.(Anyone think that it could possibly be razor burn? And, if so, are there any products that I can buy to rid myself of it?)

Not a problem, that’s what this site is for. If you do get razor burn, or have it and it's not that bad, Nivea, at least i think it's Nivea, makes a good after shave lotion, oh yeah, under no circumstances, use aftershave. If it hurts like hell on the face, imagine the pelvis, lol. Umm, any lotion would probably do, but ones made specifically for the problem would obviously be better. Toiletries aisle in Jewel.

Welcome to A2A, Rob!
Another thing I'd point out is that shaving always leaves the skin a bit abraded and more susceptible to infection, especially a close shave against the grain. If you happen to get some more aggressive bacteria on the skin, they can take advantage of it, especially if they were on the skin when you shaved, and the razor spreads them around, and into the tiny nicks that always result.
Fortunately, though the result may look unsightly, it usually clears up pretty quickly. Squeeze any pus out gently. An anti-bacterial wash can help.

OK, shave with the grain to trim it down tight, then go back and go against the grain to smooth the fucker out.It works well, Iv been shaving my nut bag for a few years, its a time tested way.
-
Don't forget to go across the grain to pick up the strays...
-
Oh don't worry about those, they're just shaving spots deriving from damage to the hair follicles.Use a topical antiseptic such as sudocreme to calm and soothe these and next time you shave, use hot water as you shave, shave in small quick strokes and use a thick shaving cream for pubic hair. This should sort you out nicely
-
"use a thick shaving cream for pubic hair. This should sort you out nicely"Just to clarify the crap you get at the drugstore is not a quality shaving cream and can do more harm than good. Thick layers of foam or gel do nothing to help in the shaving process. Go by some quality shaving soap or shaving cream and keep the razor flush with hot, hot water.Spend the extra for the good stuff and you'll see a world of difference.

The best I have found, and I refuse to use anything else these days, been using this for a few years now is [the shit in this here link.][0]
Damien tried it out and hated it, said the smell was what drove him batshit.
I dont mind the smell and shower off after Im done, never noticed it lingering the rest of the day. Never smelled it on my wife after a shower either. Keep in mind I also used it on my face (between beards) and never noticed an after smell.
I swear to fuck though, you can go over the same area 30 times if need be, against grain with grain, what ever, and not a bit of razor burn since I started using it.
You can buy it from the site in the link, or numerous places online, but i first bought it at walmart.

Here's the shaving soap I use and highly recommend. My skin feels great after I use it. I've found nothing that equals it.And here's the pre-shave oil I use. I only use it on occasion and only on my neck. It does work wonders for keeping razor burn and nicks and that kind of shit at bay.

Here's a link to some other quality shaving products. I would imagine most anyone of these would work well. Some on this site have reviews.
