I sweat a lot. I use Dove Ultimate Clear Antiperspirant because it doesn't make me itch. On most day I usually have to apply at least twice. Then when I do sweat the B.O. smells worst than when I apply nothing and sweat. I've tried lavender oil and water mixture (it's anti-bacterial), but I can't find a solution. I sweat and I end of smelling really bad. The odor is then absorbed into my shirt underneath the arms. I can't always go home and get into the shower. Does anyone have any home remedies or ideas. Some people can be soaking wet and I don't even smell them. What can I do about the bacteria that's causing the armpit odor? It's so embarrassing. I don't even wear sleeveless shirts.

Body Odor (Armpits)

one home remedy I know of is to take some aniseeds for B.O control.Take baths with an antibacterial soap and shave the armpits regularly......that seems to help.

I found this article about Anise (Aniseed) on WebMD.com. Could it be applied on the skin, like if grounded up? I also read somewhere it has a licorice flavor. I hate licorice. Yuck!

Anise as in Star anise is different from aniseed. Aniseeds are tiny seeds and have a strong smell.Just add 1/4 tsp of these to your meals or salad while eating........dont apply it under armpits.Following a good diet helps control B.O. Add more fresh and aromatic herbs to your meals, esp Rosemary, basil, mint.Dont forget using an antibacterial soap while bathing.

I use a product called Drysol. It prevents me from sweating all together!

My skin is really sensitive, I try not to use prescription strength deodorant. I don't want to break out in a rash or get itchy. That can happen when I reapply regular deodorant too often.I'll have to look up the other version of anise.
