Hi all, I've recently become sexually active for the first time, and I'm having some trouble. I am uncircumcised, and I've been getting these "pimples" on my penis glans, sometimes with white heads, and my penis head is either slightly sore or feels relieved like an itch (while not actually itchy on its own) if I rub it. They don't hurt or blister up so I'm fairly certain it's not herpes or the like, and my girlfriend is clean (both of her other sexual partners were virgins) so I am fairly confident it's just balanitis (although if someone else has an idea that would be great to hear). It happens almost everytime after sex a day or two later and lasts 3 days upwards to two weeks depending on how long we had sex/how much, but even if it's not dangerous or something to worry about, it's insightful and I'd like to do something about it. I feel I'm fairly good at getting rid of it (washing thoroughly everyday, making sure to dry it fully afterwards), but I would like to work on making it not happen.I'm planning to go to the dermatologist soon, but I want to hear other options before they immediately cry circumcision at me, and because i suffered from tight foreskin for most of my life and this board with its suggestions to stretch (something which my doctor had never heard of) helped to mostly correct, I thought I'd turn here. By mostly correct, I mean it's fully retractable but sometimes has issues going back up after sex, when the penis glans are still engorged and there's a lot more friction due to sex and all the fluids involved. I can eventually get it back up, but sometimes the part of the glans by the frenulum still get stuck. (Could this also be part of the issue?)Thanks in advance for everything!

Balanitis

Sounds like a possible yeast infection.. Is it itchy?

It's not so much ichy , but I get that "i've just scratched an itch" relief when I rub it. However, I only notice it when I'm manipulating my penis (peeing etc). It may be a yeast infection as this is the worst it's been, but my girlfriend's never complained about a yeast infection before so I don't see how it could be bounced back and forth if she doesn't notice it either.

Yeast infections can bounce back and forth just like that - either sex can have them without knowing. Both of you using the cream (no prescription needed) at the same time would seem a good idea. If it's yeast it should deal with it; if it doesn't, there's no harm done.
