Hey guysI'll try and keep it short.I'm 17 and play rugby casually for my college and club. I was 13.5 stone and am now 11.5 stone. I had been around 13.5 for years and i always wanted to loose weight as i felt fat.Over the last few months i've lost alot of weight. Generally due to not feeling hungry. I just feel as though i dont need to and because the hunger isn't there i forget to eat. The problem is that i've lost 2 stone in 6 months. Athletically i'm fit but it just feels like now i'm skin muscles and bones. All my fat has gone. Because i'm not eating i don't feel the urge to work out as i dont have the energy. So my muscles are going down. All in all i'm loosing weight from my fat and muscles. One thing i wasn't certain about is, because i'm recently 17 could that have influenced a change in my metabolism or would that be neglegible??What should i do? I saw my doctor about it and he said just eat 3 meals a day, which is very hard if you have no motivation to eat. Thanks for listening(sorry about the bad grammer)Hawk

How to gain weight? (not something you hear often)

I agree with your doctor. Try as hard as you can to eat, even if you don't feel like. Diet can giveth, as much as it taketh away. Make something you know you'll like, and try your best to stomach it. I know that feeling, and it's hard to do sometimes, it makes you feel like your full, and if you eat any, you'll have the puking feeling, but do your best. Or drink more, maybe you're dehydrated? Just a suggestion...(reasoning being that lots of people mistake thirst for hunger, although not EXACTLY what your saying, but maybe it'll help anyway.)Metabolism might have SOME to do with, but I'd say it's more on the negligible side.

A good trick is to eat a lot per meal and not often. This will slow down your metabolism. My brother was 115 now 150 following this. He started to only eat 2-3 but he eats over 1000 calories per meal.

Take more protein and carbohydrate food based meals to obtain the bodyweight and develop the muscle tissue. Not take more cholesterol meals because these meals obtain your fat instead of muscle tissue.Include more milk, yogurt, meat, eggs, fish, cheese, fruit and veggies in what you eat for the excess bodyweight.
