...are we there yet?

On our way to an Obamanation...

without discussing whether there is or isn't an issue, this clip on it's own doesn't show it one way or another. The Prez can't answer 10 million internet questions and I doubt the venue can seat 300 million people so there obviously has to be some type of selection process.I'm not saying that politicians don't try to manage the media to keep on message. Our PM is blatantly guilty of it!

Aren't they saying that the people and their questions are preselected and thus (Obama) prepared to answer? In effect, answering only those questions that they _want _to answer or discuss.
I have no idea what the procedure was previously. I would think that GW Bush **should **have used this process if he didn't.

that's exactly what they're getting at but I don't know how else one would handle it. He can't field millions of questions live off the internet. As for attendees at the town hall, everyone I've ever been to (yes, I'm a politinerd) starts with an invitee list. Those who receive the invitations can then spread the word and anyone is welcome to register. By their nature, they do tend to be stacked on the side of the political party though.Or, like our PM, you could always just throw a fake one with scripted questions from the crowd.Seeing W. stammer and grin like a nervous chimp when faced with a tough question made for excellent TV!

I fear that I may have been misquoted in the media
