First of I'm a 20 year old male. About three weeks ago I felt a bit bored with my hand, and started using banana peels to masturbate with. I had signs of inflammation and my urethra kind of had a dull burn. Although I had used them before I had become worried that maybe I got some banana in my urethra and it had caused infection of some sort. I went to the doctor and he did no physical examination, but determined I probably have non specific urethritis. I did not tell him about the banana peel. I went on a week of antibiotics, and although they should definitely wipe out any possible infection I still feel as if the burning is still there. My skin on my penis is definitely a bit more swollen and I can feel the inside of my penis is more inflamed as well. There is increased fluid on in the shaft skin (edema?) and the head of my penis seems bigger. Please help me to rationalize this situation! Here is the rundown on what I think is wrong:1. I was masturbating quite frequently (2-3x a day max) but usually only once a day, so maybe the banana peel had nothing to do with it and it is just a bit of overuse. The problem with this is my penis is still inflamed 3 weeks later. I have cut back on masturbation to about once every 2-3 days. Maybe I should go ahead and stop altogether and this will finally stop bothering me? Synopsis: A minor injury from too much masturbation, not stopping altogether hasn't allowed it to heal.2. The banana peel got in my urethra and caused some sort of infection that the antibiotics couldn't clear up? This really worries me, but is of course pretty far-fetched. Is it possible for a male to have a yeast infection?3. I have been extremely stressed out lately and have had horrible panic attacks before this situation, and now regarding this situation and other situations. Could over anxiety cause issues with my penis feeling harder and more inflamed when flaccid? Could all of this just be anxiety!?I have no erectile problems, and it doesn't burn when I urinate, but I feel as if something is still wrong. My penis feels either really hot and partially erect all the time, or turtles up into my skin where the corpus cavernosum feel hard as well (when flaccid.) There is no discharge, just a dull burning in my urethra and ache in my penis. Any input?

What has happened to my penis?

Welcome to A2A, justchillin025.I doubt that the banana peel had much to do with it, so no need to mention it. It's possible to get urethritis from bacteria getting in the urethra all sorts of ways.I think it is possible that the symptoms are due to anxiety, especially as you suffer so much from it. However, I think you should also go back to the doctor to see if he can see anything. Sometimes the bacteria causing a urethritis may need a different or stronger antibiotic.I wouldn't expect simply a bit of overuse to be still a problem three weeks later (though of course if you are very anxious about something the anxiety can make you feel the symptoms even when the physical cause has gone).

I have a feeling you're right. My brain is on high alert and every bodily feeling is making me a hypochondriac lately, sigh. I am definitely talking to the doctor about that aspect as well. Thanks for the reply :).

you should see the weird things stress can do to my body sometimes!here's a thought... are you allergic to latex at all? That allergy tends to run hand-in-hand with banana allergy (or just sensitivity)

No lol, it wasn't from weeds, actually my own idea. Although I found the weeds video when I was anxiously looking up diseases one could acquire from banana peels.
Now I'm not really sure if I've masturbated too much over the past years, and have messed with my prostate to the point where it's inflamed, or if anything really was in my urethra causing discomfort. Now I have a dull ache in the base of my penis, so maybe that is my prostate. Right now I'm playing the game of trying not to masturbate, then giving in, and having the cycle repeat. I'm really nervous to tell my doctor all of this, I've only been to him once previously for a sinus infection. Also nervous to have him physically check it out.

It doesn't seem like you have masturbated too much. Your prostate can take a lot of use with no problem except temporarily reduced volume.

BUT...to go against Ineligible...If there's constant aching or pain, that's not a good thing. Anywhere. If it's not constant, it might just be a result of after you're done. Still, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be, I would still go to the doctor, even if it turns out to be nothing. If it would make you feel better, you could ask all the questions, hypothetically. Even though you both know, he could answer them that way, and it might not be as awkward.Doctors hear that all the time, it's their job. Or you could find a urologist in your area?

Not going against me at all. I also think justchillin should go back to the doctor.
