...but you can praise Obama! Old survivors of Nazi Germany say this is exactly how the Hitler Youth began...with the brainwashing of the children. If the man had an ounce of integrity he'd put a stop to it...truth be known, he probably had a hand in starting it. Either he or his lackeys.

In school, you can't praise God...

While I think the whole think is crap, I do think your idea (and others) that HE (or his lackeys) had something to do with this is way overboard. It's just some overzealous teacher... which was a bad choice on her(?) part.

Hmmm, I smell a conspiracy.I'm not much for patriotism, I prefer the human race over any particular nation, so I don't support this kind of crap. But it honestly looks to me like every other silly little pro-American chant that you get your kids to rattle off. Obviously a very pro-Obama teacher influencing the lyrics, but this kind of shit probably happened in Republican majority schools back in Bush's day. I honestly hate American politics, its the most retarded system of loving and hating people who are all basically the same.

This is not the first time this has been seen on YouTube...and where there's more than one that makes the news/net, there's probably others as well that did't. ACORN has been full of shady and illegal activities since long before Obama was even elected...and it is well known Obama has strong ties with ACORN. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if ACORN was involved with this is some fashion. It's definitely something they'd do...and the kind of thing they've already done.

Yes but rather than rather than make unsubstanciated accusations, it would be more appropriate to question who and why.

If I'm right, what do you think the odds are of getting a reliable answer in this liberal-infested media?No...some things you have to be able to surmise for yourself. And it still smacks of the Hitler Youth. Brainwashing kids for a better tomorrow.
-
Since conspiracy obviously lies at the root of everything we see, I have a conspiracy theory of my own. I think it probably a right wing religious school that's trying to offer up some staged anti-Obama propaganda to their followers. Come on SDP it can never be the simple answer that's just no fun.

And how alive, and in the German school system, were you in the 1940's? I'm sure there were kids that didn't like it just as much as you don't like this (if you were in school.) Just saying. Also, it's not so much you can't praise God, just that the [public] school can't MAKE you do it. i.e. you won't get a detention or suspension for praying in school. I felt it needed saying.

It's called a "double-standard" bobby-boy...in case you missed it.And since it's directed by the school teacher(s), it actually has taken the place of God and the Pledge of Allegiance...in case you missed that, too.Allegiance to one person/entity...not to the country (flag) or to each other. Hmmm. Only God has held that status before.

If anything, and this is going back... 2 years ago, they took out the "under God" from the PoA, but I think that was for a whole 5 days at my school. Actually, probably less than that. **For the record, it IS indeed a public high school.

I can't find any reference to any such omission being carried out. Perhaps thor has better information. There is a summary of the situation as of the beginning of 2006 (during the Bush era) here, and I can't find any reference to a change since then.Incidentally, here is an interesting photograph of American schoolchildren reciting the pledge in March 1941 (of course there was no "under God" then).

While I cbf watching the video, in theory I think it's completely fine if it's going the way I think however It's been a long 2 weeks I only got like 15 hours of sleep in the past 2 weeks and don't feel like spending a lot of time on this discussion today.
God is religion, religion can't be proven near as much as history can. While I believe in God, I can certainly agree, no you can't really prove he exists. Obama exists, he's part of our history(even if only by a few months)present and future. He exists, it's provable, so on and so forth I think at this point you'll understand what I'm getting at.
History you can go back to these supposed area's things happened at and find remains, there's very few biblical stories people have found proof about. Therefor I think anything religious should really stay out of school.
Because you're suppose to be there to learn a bit about history, but morely about improving your skills for future jobs. It's suppose to be about you improving your own skills for your future, not praying that God gives you the strength and skills to go out and work in life.
But since i didn't watch the video I can't comment to much about it.

I think I'm almost starting to agree with you Bob. I swear, if one party discovered the cure to cancer, the other would vote against using it just because it didn't come from their side of the aisle. Bunch of selfish, pansy-a$$, whiny babies with their privileged noses stuck so far up their partisan a$$es they don't know whether to scratch their watches or wind their butts.

The "Under God" phrase has NOT been omitted in public schools. Kids are still saying it today. People like you never cease to amaze me at your phony outrage about Obama followers working behind the scenes to brainwash our children.
-
Hey CBW! Haven't seen you around in quite a while! Hope you've keeping busy, pushing the liberal agenda as thor would put it.

I can remember reciting it as far back as the third grade...it was in there then.

That's why, when the truth about it all comes out (or at least is recognized for what it is), it'll be a shock to you...and it will also be too late for you to do a thing about it. Folks in Nazi Germany thought, concerning Hitler, just like you do about Obama.

The phrase "under God" was added in 1954, presumably before you were in third grade. Wikipedia article
