OK, I realize that I should go see a doctor just because of being worried, but I wanted to get a 3rd party opinion before I put my family through anything. My dad had a double bypass at 55 this summerwhat he felt was a pain to the inside of his right shoulderblade (he never had a heart attack, went into hospital thinking it was his gulbladder)what I am wondering about is, I cant tell if this is in my head or if I need to get it checked out, but randomly I swear I feel pressure in about the same spot my dad did, not pain but a pressure, and I dont know if it is real from lack of excercise and good diet, not that im obese or eat horrible, but im a college student so obviously the diet isnt always amazing but I do try and eat healthy and have lost about 20lbs since my dads surgery 2 months ago when I started really being more concerned about my health I am 5'10" and 200 lbs, I have a frame that is built for muscle and while i do have some pudge, there is a decent ammount of muscle underneath.I am just wondering what you all think I should do, or of any safe way to test myself and see if I am ok, this is just messing with my head, and while it wont cost anything because my dads surgery maxed out our insurance so we dont have to pay a deductable the rest of the year, having heart stents put in at 21 seems a lil nuts to me.I hope you could follow this I was kinda just typing as it came into my head, thanks

Most likely it is just your mind playing tricks on you, but if you can get a check-up for free it wouldn't hurt, and might set your mind at rest. And occasionally there is something genetic.

there is a genetic component I may have forgotten to mention it, high blood pressure and cholesterol run in my dads side of the family

I know a guy that had open heart surgery at 19. Now he is 35 and a member of the zipper club.at 21 it might be a little nuts, but is certainly possible. There is no way to test yourself for this, you lack the lab and the components needed to diagnose this. You can though look at what risk factors you have, the genetics is part of it, what about smoking, drinking, lack of exercise, hows the diet? If it were me, and I was as worried as you are, Id get some blood work done, get the results and go from there.
