http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/500/005jz.jpg What a joke right. That loser (Aka me) Has been exercising for years and thats the best he can do.Seriously, don't pay attention to my awkward flex, it doesn't really matter which way I flex, my muscle definition looks pretty much the same.In all this time, my body has pretty much looked like that I've changed it up so many times, I've gone from exercising daily, to every other day, to different days, to doing Arms one day, abs another, legs another whatever it's never mattered. Here's my common lazy week work out.100 crunches (2-3 sets)7 curls (50 pound weights 2-3 sets) or 20 curls (2-4 sets 25 pound weights)hour cardio (Punching bag or exercise bike or a mixture.)25 push ups (5-8 sets)15 pull ups (2 sets both ways)Dancing (1-2x a week)Benching 10 (125 pounds 2-3 sets)Weight 157 daily calories intake around 2000. I used to do a lot more, but as I see no real progress I've slown down in what I do. Seriously wtf am I doing wrong. I've tried lots of different exercises/ switch ups. More calories to build muslce, more protein, less calories, blah blah blah. more cardio. None of it seems to work.Is there just something I'm missing. It's pissing me off to see my friends sit on their ass throughout most of the spring eating junkfood and lazying about and ending up with better bodies than me =/Edit: I also pretty much cut junk food out completely. Except for this week in particular because I was craving something sweet I had 3 zingers.

Genetics has a lot to do with it, and training can only partially counteract that. You don't look like a loser at all. You are the wiry but well-muscled type rather than the sort of guy who looks like a brick building but can't move fast. In addition you have strong character, especially with the hair, that should make people respect you.

Genetics is all the more reason I should be in better shape. I'm not trying to bulk up, I just want my muscles to be shaped and toned. Not look like I just started hitting the gym 2 weeks ago.My mom and her family was skinny and in shape. My dad and his family was skinny and toned not so much now that they're in their 50s but what can you do.My older brothers while one was obese when he lost the weight he now has a body builders body. And my other older brother was born fairly ripped. And my 9 and 6 year old brother have abs and even fricken pecs and they don't even exercise and eat like shit. How is it, me being the only one to exercise properly and eat right is so shitty in comparison. And I mean, I tried being lazy and eat like shit, but all it got me was 265 pounds. the rest is never phased. There's no reason genetically, or physically why I look like I just JUST started going to the gym, when I've been exercises fairly well for 4 years now.

Unfortunately, some of us get the short end of the stick. My brother used to be a model while I was out of shape. Now I look similar to you (except my hair isn't quite as long) and I've been working out for about a year and a half. I put on muscle for the first 2 months but I haven't changed since then. I want to have more muscle, but there's nothing I can do. I've since leaned out more and I look a lot better than I used to and that's a big personal accomplishment. And you said you weight 265 pounds and now you are 157. That's a huge accomplishment and something to be incredibly proud of. Here's my advice:If you want more definition, you have to lower your body fat more. It's been shown that weight lifting burns more fat and increases testosterone than cardio, so you should consider getting a gym membership or a Bowflex (or something like it). By looking at your routine, I'd say that you could do quite a bit to change your appearance by adding in an upper body/lower body split workout routine a few times a week. You don't need much. I see some guys at the gym every time I go there and they are working their asses off for hours at a time but they don't increase in size or strength. Don't overtrain or you will be wasting your time and you could set yourself up for repetitive use injuries.

Work your legs bud. Back too if you can manage it. Gotta do the heavy core workouts it will boost your testosterone and you will see gains all over. Don't bust a nut though. If you aren't interested in muscle mass, you could try a lighter diet consisting of healthy foods. That should work with your current routine if you want to trim up.I don't know much about anything, but this is advice that has been helpful to me in the past. Main thing is discipline my friend, you look good as it is but I'm sure you can see results you might desire with only slight changes to your routine.
