Wasn't too sure where to put it, so this seemed the most relavent. It's not a problem, or, medical problem is a better way to put it. I have trouble waking up. My alarms don't wake me anymore, I don't hear them, and I end up oversleeping by a few hours than the time I wanted to wake up and then end up being fatigued for the whole day and having to go to sleep early the next night, starting the cycle all over again. You guys here got any tips or tricks? I'd just like to wake up at a normal time, around 8 say, instead of 11, and especially with school starting soon-ish, it won't be good if this continues. Even during school last year, I had trouble waking. I wasn't late because of it, well I was , but I would just wake up later than I wanted.

Sleeping/Waking issues

I have found that these types of natuarl waking alarm clocks work better at getting me up on time when combined with the built in audible alarm nearly all have. The only problem I have is that I can't use it because it will also wake my wife, where when using an audible only alarm she can go right back to sleep if she wakes at all.

How do they work, Scotty? Is it just the light, or the way it comes on?

One of those would be nice, I just can't afford one of those. They'd probably be ideal, though. Besides that, sunrise is around 5:30 where I live at the moment, and I still don't wake.Pete, they're pretty cool, something like 20 minutes before the alarm sounds, it emits a gradual increase of natural, or natural looking, light, simulating sunrise, melding with instinct that it's time to get up, and hopefully helping you wake better.Better sleeping tips in general, from either of you/anyone? I'm not the best sleeper either. I'm sure the fact I can't sleep on my back doesn't help that.
