I am a 15 year old boy. Why do I feel less when I cry on front of people, even my family? I get it's OK but why do I feel less manly? I only cry when someone or some animal near me dies. But I still feel like I have to hold it on

Crying

@addict From an early age, we are conditioned that a show of emotion is only acceptable for a woman--and this is incorrect. Lots of men let their emotions rush from their bodies. For those who saw the Super Bowl Sunday, Tom Brady (winning quarterback) had a good cry after the game was over. He held his emotions in check during the game, but the conclusion was more than he could handle.
You are clearly an emotional person, affected by suffering (and death) and that's more than OK.

@addict I agree with Readytogo. It's okay to show your emotions. Not sure why you would feel less manly, If anything you might be feeling more vulnerable which is alright. Its an admirable quality in men. I say don't worry about it and don't hold them in. Its okay to feel sadness or happy with tears. besides... Women love me who are in touch with their emotional side.

Being emotional shows you are a human being who's caring

The manifestation of emotions is normal. The imposition of stereotypes about brutality and the fact that the guys do not cry now is already abnormal. So do not worry about it and cry how much you want) I'm kidding. I wish you occasions for tears will be as small as possible
