Hi I'm just starting to discover the idea of masturbation and sex and I noticed when I first started trying to masturbate a while ago that my foreskin doesn't retract further than about 1cm max when tried to slide it down the penis, instead just going red and hot. When I looked this up it said phimosis and that it might just be part of growing up and go away when I finish puberty, but until then, are there any ways to masturbate and have sex with this difficulty (preferably in detail as I'm no expert!) and what I can do about it in the long-term? Thank you!

@TM332 Welcome to A2A, TM332!
Have you seen two other recent threads on phimosis in this forum: http://forums.afraidtoask.com/topic/29611/my-penis and http://forums.afraidtoask.com/topic/29618/tight-foreskin-and-other-penis-related-problems ? You may find them helpful.
Masturbation and sex with phimosis is certainly possible, but sex in particular runs the risk of pain, and even possible tearing, in situations where you don't have full control. It would be best to do some stretching exercises: see https://www.wikihow.fitness/Do-Phimosis-Stretching Do them regularly, at least once, preferably twice, a day, but gently. You don't want the risk of tearing, and you don't want pain. Gently but regularly is the idea.
