Yes i am only 16 and my lower back and tail bone hurt. They have been sore for about 4 weeks now. I am in excellent physical shape so that shouldnt be the problem. I'm either thinking its from sitting badly in drivers ed class for 4 hours straight for 6 days or possibley, but i really hope not, from playing to much basketball. The odd thing is i can be physically active and i will have no pain, yet when i sit down it hurts and when i try to touch my toes i can really feel it then. It seems to have got really bad today after playing three hours of basketball.Am I playing to much basketball or what? Please don't tell me to go to the doctor because i really don't want to waste my time there so they can tell me its something i thought it was.

sometimes people just have bad backs for no reason, i've found a visit to the chiropractor every once in a while does wonders

Yep, I once had a co-worker who told me she goes to a chiropractor every 6 months and right after it's like an extreme feeling of relief.

I'm going to look through are insursance stuff to see if its covered. I have back pain every couple of weeks.

FaBMX, you're starting to "scare" me... I have back pains sometimes... rarely... only a few times a year but when I do have it it feels like it's killing me... but I kinda like that feeling, even if it might be bad for me...

Why am I scaring you?
-
You're just a whole lot like me, didn't mean it in a bad way

Ohhh.. Sorry.. I didn't even link any of the other posts. Thats a stoner for you j/k

uh.... alright, since i last posted, there is no pain in my back just in my tailbone and my right buttox, glute or whatever you want to call it. Felt like it was gone completely yesterday and i played about 4 hours of basketball and now it is back... i find it hurts most when i try to lift something heavy on the ground or bend over or lift my right leg in the air.I know im a pessemist and a hypocondriac but i just dont want to be old and crippled at 16 and when the basketball season is starting soon.

Right now is one of those times I have back pains.. since yesterday... we'll see how long it lasts.

I'm 15 and used to suffer from back pain. I find it's mostly poor sitting postures.. if you use a laptop (like I do) you should seriously get a stand for when you use it on a desk or table. Though you may find it slightly annoying at first, it really helps alot. After I got that, and paid a little more attention to the way I sit... I've had no problems at all with back pain or anything nea muh butt. Except for these past two days.. but that's only because I got my bike seat rammed into my tail bone the other day.... hope it's not broken.. THIS FRIGGIN' HURTS!

You'd know if it was broken. And I use a computer, not a laptop.
