I have had Herpes II now for about 3 years and been through hell .... but i also have Oral Herpes II which i obviously caught when i gave oral sex to the person who give it to me. At regular intervals my eyes start stinging and itching. My face itches as well and i can feel small spots underneath the skin in patches down one side of my face mainly on the cheek and chin area.. My throat also hurts and my tongue tingles all the time. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be carful about Oral Sex because believe me YOU CAN CHATCH IT IN YOUR MOUTH.

ORAL HERPES II **PLEASE BEWARE

sorry to hear :frowning:
and you can also catch herpes 1 ("cold sores") on your genitals.

Ive got both and i dont know whats worse ....I just wanted to point out to people that everybody gives you good advice about wearing condoms but forgets about the other parts of your body....I try to control my Genital Herpes by taking Acyclovir but it just keeps it under control ( no lesions ) but i can still feel its there .....When i have protected sex now it seems to stir it up again and i get the itching for about a week after. I personally would not let anyone give me oral sex because i think it is too risky... Even when you feel alright in the genital area it can still be there !!!!!

how long have you had it? in my case (genital herpes II), it got better over time. fewer and fewer outbreaks down to pretty much nothing.what bugs me about the whole herpes thing is that SO many people have HSV1, (oral herpes) ("cold sores"). and that is acceptable. but when you get it "down there", suddenly you are a pariah.that is simply stupid thinking. it's really the same thing. granted, some people suffer worse than others, but if you do any research at all on oral or genital herpes, the chances of you catching it in your lifetime are really high. yes, it makes you feel bad mentally, but really, it's just a little sore or a few sores, that heal up in a week or so. big deal.and then there's the whole name thing. it's "ok" and "normal" to have "cold sores". sheesh. it's herpes, folks. ...plain and simple. don't make judgements towards people with genital vs. oral herpes.

Maggie, that was SO well put.People do treat others w/ herpes like they are lepors!I once knew a girl who was a topless dancer, and she had HSV2. They FIRED her because of it...........I think something like that should be illegal.
