I was recently diagnosed with Chancroid..an extremely rare STD in the US, which is only spread though sexual contact. How the heck could i have gotten this when the only person i have had sex with in the past year is with my boyfriend, who is clean and has never had an STD in his life.

I need a REAL answer

Hi hun, I've honestly never heard of Chancroid, but I searched for it for you, so check out this link.http://www.emedicine.com/emerg/topic95.htm

i know all about it, ive done my research hehe, but how could i get it and my b/f not when hes the only one ive been with..and vice versa
-
Do you know for a fact that he hasn't been with someone else?
-
yeah...im positive..hes totally honest with me about EVERYTHING..even things i dont wanna know
-
A lot of times we think that are loved ones are completely honest with us, but in reality they always aren't.
-
has he actully been tested as he may have caught it from a past lover and if he has said otherwise im sorry but unless you have had sex with someone else i really do thnik he could have gave it to you.
-
well if he had gotten it from a past lover, then why do i have it and he never has if he is the supposed carrier or spreader
-
some stds take ages months days years to show it all depends he may have it but not the sytoms yet
-
do you know for sure that he's never had it?
-
yeah, im sure hes never had it..i showed it to him and he said that hes had nothing that even closely resembles it
-
He could very well have had it. I know nobody wants to believe it, but sometimes our loved ones do lie to us. How old are you and him by the way?
-
he just turned 22 a few days ago and im 17
-
Well I don't know what to tell you. If you haven't been with anyone else but your boyfriend I highly suspect that it was him that gave it to you.
-
When do you turn 18? You're boyfriend could get in some big trouble for having sex with a minor. Don't say it won't happen, because I know someone that it happened to, and you would have never thought that the girl's mom would have turned him in. Just be careful. You wouldn't ever want him to go through what my friend just went through for the rape charges. Oh, and tell your boyfriend to get himself checked out. If he is sure that he's never had the disease, then he shouldn't be afraid to go and get himself checked out.

Yes our loved ones can surely lie to us. Been there done that.... Men never admit they have an STD! I got herpes and there is one man who couldĀ“ve given that to me. Of course he denies :scream_cat: They all do that. I might do it if i was in that situation...u never know. U dont want the other person to think you are a slut....
U should check your boyfriend out. This is fishy..
