Studying Help!!
-
definatly don't just read, look for some sort of activity thing you can act out, if you just read, you'll lose focus after a while, trust me, I know...Activity's work great, maybe make a flow chart, or design a "factory" for whatever it is, something to make you remember it to something else

For me studying depends on the subject. For history persay I'll take notes on the chapter, typed notes (outlined). Then i'll highlight names of all the people, events, and other pertinate info. Instead of remembering lets say "Geroge Washington was the first president of the United States of America" my notes will be:"G. Washington - 1st President" I'll leave out the stuff i already know. For example its US history so i dont need to write down the United States of America. Then instead of memorizing a whole sentence its easy to remember in sort of a word association way. For example if someone says "blue" whats the first word that comes to your mind? I train myself to thing "1st president" if i saw washington or vice versa. For subjects like math I have no clue how to study so i'm not help. Studing vocab words i usually read the defination, say it to myself, read the next word and def say it to myself, then go back to the first word and see if i still recall the definition.

It's hard to do it in one night. Here is a proper way to do it, which you'll have to cut down to fit the time this time, but in the future you'll plan in advance. There are three stages, which really should be done separately:
1. Go through the material. If it is in brief note form, that's fine. If it is very wordy, like some books, you may have to summarise it into note form to get at the pith of it. Another way I have found very useful is to explain it to yourself aloud (requires a sound-proof room). At this point, the emphasis is on understanding. Anything you don't understand, you need to work on until you do. You can't learn something you don't understand. Think about it. Look up textbooks or other books. Discuss it with someone. Ask the teacher - this doesn't make you look dumb: on the contrary, it makes you look intelligent.
2. Anything that needs memorising, go through over and over. It's much more efficient to spend five minutes twice a day for a week than to spend two hours all at once.
3. Do questions or problems. Knowledge isn't cemented into the brain until it's used, so use it to learn it.
These aren't easy to do. Studying is boring and tedious. If you need to study regularly, make yourself a study timetable (a realistic one). It can help to study with other people, because that forces you to do it. If you can arrange it, one of the very best ways of learning something is to teach it to someone else. A group can even teach each other.

i memorize my lessons. like tomoro i have a science test, so i just memorize the lesson really, still making sure i understand it all. just read it over and over and ... untill u know it quite well. for stuffl ike maths its good to do exercises i guess. and make sure u take breaksl ike every 10 mins, just stop studying and walk round for a bit, so u dont lose ur concentration. o yea and its a gd idea to go thru it all once more just before u go to bed. ur brain works on it during then ight. and when u wakeu p read it all once more. good luck!!

I don't think this would help. Takes years of practice to do really good. I do what people like to call cramming. I never study until an hour before the test. The whole hour before the test I sit there and skim or power read what I need to go over. When it comes test time, I usually am ready to get close to acing. Although, I highly reccomend doing homework and fully understanding it before cramming. Sort of like a prep many weeks before the test.

LMAO I never study and I score very well on my History, Math, Literature, and any other class except bio (physics I own at - I have published a few works on thermodynamics). Bio sucks my cock and I hate it.
-
I'm an A student and never studied when I was in high school. But with my college classes I have to study.
-
I do not study. I ace all my tests, somehow, never pay attention and I do better in harder classes, like my college calculus class.
-
i usually read the book like 3 or 4 times then write notes in elvish(the writing not the language) it makes me think

In my high school classes, I didn't take notes unless I had to then I usually copied notes off of someone else. Listening to the teacher lecture is good enough for me. IMO, studying is what you do extra at home. I rarely did extra at the house. Why do I get good grades? Maybe I'm a dam genius! not.
