I was treated for Epdidimytis (Spelling?) twice, not from any STD just a bacterial thing. The second time seemed to do the trick.Recently I have been having a hard time getting and maintaining erections (About 2 months now)I work out and now wear a jock strap, I feel it might be some sort of muscle strain. I have had on and off back pain which was diagnosed as a lower back strain and was treated with muscle relaxers and has pretty much stopped bothering me.I have seen multiple urologists and they all 3 say everything is fine, the inflamation of the epididmis has cleared up.I can get an erection if I manually work for one and "Pump" the PC muscle similar to doing a Kegel exercise but the erections have been weak unless I really work for one.I am not taking any medication or drugs. I am taking some Gingsing and Ginko as I hear that is a natural remedy for ED. (as well as Fish Oil and St. John's Wort for mild depression)I'm only 19 so I am curious what the heck is going on?Any Help is appreciated greatly.

Long Story.. Need Help

I failed to mention I am taking protein shakes as well as a Nitric Oxide/Creatine based energy drink.
Should I cut out everything?
Yeah I try not to worry about it but it continues to bug me, not knowing what the cause is I start getting worried. I will try to relax about it.

I admit the Nitric Oxide/Creatine I have little knowledge about. However, I started taking the other products after I had the erection issue. I guess I'll do a total detoxic and take nothing and see if that helps.
-
Alright I personally feel it is either the supplements, a vascular/back related issue, or some strange effect of the epidimytis.Have to start with the supplements first.
-
nitric oxide is a chemical that's very important in getting an erection. its what makes viagra work. so I would stop with that supplement first

-
Too much. I would stop with that and go from there.
-
Ok I am not gonna take anything for a while and see how that goes. I hope its from that and not a more serious underlying cause like a pinched nerve or damaged blood vessels.God its so frustrating.

My workouts are fine it was just a strain over the summer.

I didn't write this, you did and it's not the first time you've written this.I continue to advise you to lay off the supplements and get some help with your exercise technique. Grrr your right. I am just frustrated this has gone on too long

Im not sure how it works. just a suggestion of where to start.
-
cut out the Creatine/nitrous oxide. I had a problem with erections while taking creatine, they were really weak when the did get up.i know that creatine has some affect by absorbing lots of water, it could lower your blood pressure?? (BP causes the penis to become erect, i believe??))

You work out, so you should be healthy enough to get and maintain a proper erection. You did say that you were taking the St. John's Wort for mild depression. I suffer from chronic mild depression and I've been on and off of medication for years now and every time that I stopped taking it I had a very difficult time getting and maintaining an erection. It's just a thought, but slight depression could have an effect in this situation. Do you feel like you're upset most of the time, or do you have times when you're "pumped," energized, and excited? If you feel down most of the time then I would probably look at depression as possibly a considerable cause of your problem. By the way, St. John's Wort didn't really work for me so if you aren't noticing much improvement in your depression, you might want to try HTP-5. It's also an herbal supplement and not an FDA approved medication.

No I feel tired lazy down and lethargic most of the time. I've been to numerous doctors, urologists, you name it.I haven't taking anything other than food since last Thursday, I will continue to "detox" my system for another week or so. Then I am going to try to find a new Doctor that can get to the bottom of this.Probably get treatment for depression as well as further investigate if there is nerve/blood vessel damage.

Went to Dr. today.
We think it might be thyroidal because it runs in the family.
Had a bunch of bloodwork done.
Review of last blood work showed something funky was going on with my liver (it was up one point?)
Hopefully it gets straightened out soon.
