Hi Guys,Just a question from me which has been worrying me for sometime: When I started out masterbating, at 13, I loved it, and did it over and over a day right up until a few months ago - but now, 4 years after beggining masterbation (I'm now 17), I find I can go days without even masterbating, I probably do it out of habit. I usually always am visually stimulated and I am no longer highly aroused like before over it...is it just that I have matured sexually? Or some other concerning reason/s?Also, all my life I have these small white bumps on my shaft, continuing right up my shaft covering my entire foreskin. What are these things!?Hope you can help my paranoid mind! Thanks guys..

Penis Questions...Please Help!
-
Hi ned-rides, my guess is that there's some psychological reason. It could be good (for example, a new interest in something else) or bad (for example, anxiety or depression). Those white bumps are sebaceous glands. They are meant to be there - you have them over nearly all your skin, usually but not necessarily attached to hair follicles. They secrete a white greasy gunk called sebum that is a natural skin moisturiser. You see them on your penis because the skin there is thinner. There's a picture at http://www.studenthealth.co.uk/leaflets/malegenderm2.JPG.

Thanks Ineligible, really gateful for your reply. Yeh, I knew they werny an abnormailty of any kind, but I was concerneced that when I do become sexually active my partner may think first off that I have a diease of som e description because at first, to my un-trained eye, thought that it was perhaps gential herpes...but thats almost impossible being a virgin!
Thanks again!
P.S: That pic is exactly what I have. Thanks! -
Yes, its normal not to want to masturbate as much. When you first start masturbating in your early teens, its such a new and wonderful sensation, that you just can't get enough. After hundreds (thousands?) of orgasms over the years, the novelty of it wears off a bit. I mean its still tremendously exciting and fun, but its not "new" to you anymore. Also, your body and mind are starting to get used to the higher levels of testosterone in your bloodstream now. During puberty, its fast INCREASE in testosterone levels that cause you to be horny our of your mind for much of the teen years. Its not the actual levels of testosterone - its the change. Your testosterone levels are much higher now than they were at 13. But once your body gets used to it, the constant horniness is more controlled, and things like spontaneous erections start to go away. The sex drive is there, stronger than ever, its just you have much more control over it than you did when in puberty.

Focus...you hit the ail on the head! That's exactly what I forgot to mention - the spontanues erections have gone away, and now, looking back, I used to have them up until 2 months ago, now I barely get them! Thanks! So, would it be a good idea to just masterbate whenever I feel the urge? Or should I contiune doing it everyday even though I 'm not as horny? Gee that sounds like a dumb question....sorry!Thanks again guys,

In reply to:So, would it be a good idea to just masterbate whenever I feel the urge? Or should I contiune doing it everyday even though I 'm not as horny? You don't have to masturbate at all, ever, or you could masturbate many times a day, everyday. It's entirely up to you and what you want to do. Most guys want to masturbate to:- Relieve sexual tension (horniness)- For fun- Do it just out of habitIt could be for any one of these reasons, or any combination of the three. I would say the major reasons for masturbating are the first two. I masturbate for the first two reasons. If I don't masturbate for a few days, my level of sexual tension and horniness increases tremendously, and I find it difficult to concentrate on anything non-sexual, and my desire to masturbate increases, so usually after about 2 or 3 days, I masturbate. So I average 3 times a week, but it can vary a lot. Like sometimes I can go weeks without masturbating easily, and sometimes I want to masturbate 3 or 4 times a day, everyday of the week. I just choose to masturbate as often as I want to. There is no physical or mental "need" to masturbate. You will not do any damage to your body or mind if you don't masturbate at all. So you shouldn't feel that you must masturbate. At the other end of the spectrum, you are masturbating too much if you end up choosing to masturbate instead of doing more productive or social things. Like if you want to hang out with your friends, but you would rather stay home and masturbate instead, then you are masturbating too much. Hope this helps.

Thanks Focus! You have really helped.
It's just that at the moment, I feel as though I could go forever without it and masterbating has been a daily ritual for me since 13 and now I'm at this void where it seems to be no longer neccesary. And it also makes me ask dumb questions!
Thanks again guys...I am so very grateful.

As you start to mature, some of the sexual impulses mellow a bit...not die, mellow
-
Your sexual desire goes up and down. When I went through puberty I just felt horny all the time but after a while you still feel like that but not so often. Problem is I hear that man is at his sexual peak at 17

yeah, i know why u don't masturbate as much, and this is a serious idea. You have reached what is called a MASTURBATION PLATEAU. More than likely, you have tried numerous masturbation techniques (or just one mayb) and they r either not doing the job for you or u have reached a sexual maturity that means that you can control your horniness (so much for spontaneous erections).Solutions1. Have sex (if u are a pimp like that, but i wouldn't...go abstinence)2. try new techniques (and there are plenty)3. retire from masturbation altogether (sarcasm)
