I have a niece who will be turning 18 in the next couple months. Her mom wants to plan something fun. She was thinking of taking her and a bunch of people to Canada...to gamble I suppose. But someone said you have to be 19 to gamble in Canada now. Ahem, Mr. U, Pinkranger, can you confirm that? I didn't do anything fun for my 18th birthday except get a tattoo, so I don't have any ideas. Anyway, if we can't do the Canada thing, what are some other fun things 18 year olds do for thier birthday?

I can confirm you have to be 19 to gamble in Canada. My ex took me to Canada when I was 18, and we were both bummed because I couldn't drink or gamble. But we went back the next year and had a good time

Thank you Eddie. Darn it, I was hoping I could crash at Mr. U's house too.

http://www.olg.ca Quote:Strict age controls are a key component of our commitment to social responsibility. A person must be at least 18 years of age to buy a lottery ticket, and OLG will not pay a prize to anyone less than 18 years of age. A person must be at least 19 years of age to enter a gaming site, the same minimum age as required for the serving of alcohol. but but but... there's way more stuff to do here than gamble. Just come on up!!!!c'mon, it will be fine!

I remember my 18th, I went to the cinema first thing in the morning and hid there all day going from movie to movie.

LOL! Yeah, well, I don't think her mother wants to go to a sex shop with her. But that sounds like a fun time to me.
She just wants to treat her to a good time. Not even drink, just to do something 'legally' at the age of 18. Kind of like when you buy yourself alcohol when you turn 21. My niece said she might like to go to a strip club though. And actually her mother said that sounded fun. I'd still like to go to Canada though. -
I'm a very very good host

I'm sure you are. So, what else is there to do in Canada?
