It's a misconception that a child is supposed to retract his foreskin to wash. Retraction should be done when the child enters puberty and the forskin separates from the glans.

Would you have your child circumsized?

What the hell was that fox? Some medieval torture device?
-
Sdp...I didn't know that, but I do have to say my little one has some 'extra' skin (i'm guessing he just wasn't cut very much) and I have to pull it back and clean because sometimes he has stuff in there. I don't know if it's soap or cream (he's still in diapers). Although, I don't really use diaper cream or powder unless needed. But I do have to clean it every other day.
-
That's one of the tools they use to perform circumcisions.

where the hell at?

Follow the link I provided above. You'll have to scroll a bit since the page is very long. There aren't many pictures so you're not likely to miss it.

I was a circumcised as a baby, and I wish I wasn't. So, if I have a son, he will definitely NOT be circumcised! I have so many reasons why I'm against infant circumcision, but to keep it short, I'll just list my 3 major reasons:1 - Its totally not necessary - why cut off a perfectly functioning part of the body that has many purposes and tangible benefits? It makes no sense at all to me to cut off a healthy body part. 2 - By removing the foreskin, you are removing a ton of nerve ending, and pleasurable areas of the penis. I know this for a fact, because I was lucky enough to have a piece of my frenulum left intact from my circumcision. That little piece of frenulum is by far the most sensitive and pleasurable area of my penis. I can't imagine how nice it would be to have a fully intact frenulum like uncut guys have. A sad reality is that most circumcsions completely remove the frenulum, and all that pleasure and sensitive is removed with it. So a lot of cut guys are missing out without even knowing it. 3 - Circumcision should be the choice of the owner of the penis, not the parents. A baby is not capable of making an informed decision about his own body parts. He should have the freedom of choice and the right to decide if he wants to remove his foreskin when he's old enough to make such a decision as an adult. I was denied that right to choose. If he grows up hating his foreskin, and wishing he was circumcised, he can choose to be circumcised - there's nothing wrong or bad about adult circumcisions. And it'll be HIS decision that HE can be happy about. But chances are, he'll enjoy having a foreskin and will keep it. The way I see it, its a win-win situation: your son gets to keep his foreskin and gets to experience all that it can do for him, and he also gets the full freedom of choice to do what he wants with it. Once you remove his foreskin as an infant, that's it - its permanent, and there's no putting it back. What if he grows up wishing he had his foreskin? Oops, you made the wrong decision for him, and you can't undo it. Now, if you left him intact as a baby, and he grows up wishing he was circumcised, then yeah, you may have made a wrong decision in leaving him intact, but at least he has the ability to undo it and get circumcised.

I would have my son circumsized if I have a son. Might sound weird or stupid I just think its a tradition for us personally and think traditions are important to keep. We're not Jews or anything, its just become tradition in a way if you're a boy you get it done.

Like hispanics and getting their little girls' ears pierced

Lol, BMC your a fly cat!
-
a fly cat? lol what's that?
-
I dunno! But ur chill!

i wasnt circumcised but alot of the time i wish i was just so i could fit in with everyone else and girls wouldnt think its grosse and all that. im old enough to go have it done on my own without my parents consent but im really nervous. as far as that study saying you dont loose sensitivity. thats BS! ive met 2 guys who had a circ done late in life and they both said theres was a very noticable loss in sensitivity. This is what makes me hesistant to get one. with the glands exposed all the time the nerve endings loose sensitivty. but if you had a child cut i guess he'd never know rite. personally though i find it a lil wierd that your parents get to decide what your penis should look like. i mean its not theres.

I will never understand the Americans obsession with cirumcision. It's quite rare here in the UK. Although, the thought of getting it done has crossed mym ind as I have a tight foreskin. But I really don't want too - I might get some of that steroid cream.
-
I agree it is very rare in the UK. With tight foreskin you have to stretch it and gradually it will loosen up. Don't yank at it just gently does it
-
By the way, don't bother with steroid cream :confused:what ever that is, just do what everyone is saying - stretch it!

Honestly, whats with this social sting of circumcision. I just watched Discovery Channel about early Plastic Surgery. The men in Rome use to find circumcision a bad thing because It meant you were not purely Roman. Some men went to surgeons to get it fixed. NOw in America you want a circumcision. Dude...you people need to just ignore what everyone says. I know its hard but you need to love yourself, not love what people say about things...
-
You're telling people to just ignore traditions...that's not very good.
