is it true that not all condoms offer the same 99% guaruntee? I mean would a condom bought in a bathroom vending machine be less effective than one out of a Trojan or Durex box? would it be less, and how much less?I need to know because we used an off brand the other night, and now I am concerned because of my friend making a comment about their effectiveness. I just thought that all condoms would have been made with max protection possible. please help

Effectiveness?!

I don't know. I've heard condoms alone are only 70% effective. Perhaps condoms w/ spermacide is 99%.

They are somewhere in the lower nineties range, if used correctly. And if they haven't expired, been subjected to extreme temperatures, they haven't been torn or damaged in a wallet or when opening the package, etc. Oh, and of course if they are put on and used correctly. Almost all of them have spermicide. Novelty condoms (the ones in vending machines) aren't generally as good as other ones, but I highly doubt you got pregnant or anything unless it broke or ripped or leaked...
