I'm sorry, I'm not english and I've never heared of these words... I must look really stupid now.
What is cricumference and what is girth
The length measured around.
Hi David, welcome to AfraidToAsk, and you don't look stupid at all. Circumference and girth mean the same thing, distance around. They are the best way of measuring the thickness of the shaft of your penis - worth knowing for selecting the correct condom size, when you need one. You measure it by wrapping a cloth measuring tape around the middle of (erect) shaft, and seeing where it comes back to itself. If you don't have a measuring tape you can use a strip of paper or a piece of string, mark where it meets itself, straighten it out and measure.
Around 4 3/4 inches is about average, but young guys are usually thinner and grow thicker later.
Ah, thank you for your help, that helped a lot!
I never thought of the paper method yet, but that's very nifty. I just didn't want to use my mom's measuring tape
Well, really thank you a lot on the info, I'll be adding my girth soon
If I'm right (but I had a hard time getting an erection, 'cause I really didn't feel like it, lol, and it went away in a couple of seconds) but I came to 12-13 cm's (which is 3.26 inches) Lol. That sounds a lot less then the average, but it doesn't seem to thin Is there maybe something I can compare it with?
PS: Well, I hope what you said is true, about young guys having a smaller girth.
Perhaps the problem is incorrect conversion of cm to inches? 1 inch = 2.54 cm, so 12 cm = 12/2.54 = 4.7 inches, and 13 cm = 13/2.54 = 5.1 inches, very much in the average adult range.
Now the next question is whether you converted the length correctly . . .
Ow! Lol, I thought an inch was 3.45 ^-^ Sorry :P
But I want to measure my lenght ad girth precisely, but can you please tell how? I saw somewhere on this site that you have to begin at your pubic bone, but what in heavens name is that? You can try and explain with like 'it's above, next to, its in, etc...', I tend to understand stuff quickly
It is pretty generally accepted that penis length should be measured along the top (but following the curve, if any). There are however two ways of doing that. One way is to measure from the tip of the penis to where it joins the rest of your body, at the pubic skin. This is the "non-bonepressed" length.
The other way is to meaure from the tip to as far in as you can press the ruler or tape into your pubic area (the part of your body just above your penis). There is a fat pad there, over bone - your pubic bone. Because you are pressing in to the bone (though of course you can't actually get right to the bone or you'd be injuring yourself) it is referred to as the "bonepressed" length.
The bonepressed length is longer: bonepressed = non-bonepressed + depth of pubic fat pad (strictly, just some of the depth of fat).
Some people use the non-bonepressed figure because that reflects what you can see and is readily available for use. Others use the bonepressed figure because it is less influenced by weight changes and is more reliable day-to-day. (Or perhaps because it is bigger.) Some also claim that that is how much you can use in sex, though I'm doubtful.
Well, I've measured it semi bone-pressed, 'cause I'll take that as the right way to measure. Although I used a ruler and wasn't able to measure my curve with it, but I don't think that'll make big (if any) changes. And the result was exactly 15 cm. (calculated in inches = 6,12 inch.) and I also measured my girth, but it wasn't a hard erection as when you masturbate. That was 12 cm. (calculated in inches = 4,89 inch.)
And if you keep in mind that I'm 1m77 (which is a lot higher then the average 13 year old guy), I hope you can say I'm normal x.x (hopes so anyway )
EDIT: I didn't measure my... how is it called, the skin you have if you are not cut... Well, anyways, I didn't count that extra skin to my penis lenght. You're supposed to not measure it, right?
Yes, you don't include foreskin.
You're a normal adult size in all respects, including height.
You're still getting your calculations a bit wrong - you're using 1 inch = 2.45 cm instead of the correct 2.54 cm. 15 cm = 5.9 inches, 12 cm = 4.7 inches.
Ow lol! Thanks for clearing that
