why do most books have pages in multiples of 9 ?
-
Weird question ...
-
ive never thought about that
-
Er, they don't. Since pages have two sides, there have to be an even number of pages in a book, though not all may be numbered. In practice, most books are made from large sheets that are folded into 16 pages (sometimes 32), and these are stitched or glued together, and then the edges are cut. Therefore if you count all the pages, numbered or not (not including the end papers, which are added separately), you should get a multiple of 16.

9*10=90and one book can use like 1 1/2 sheet and another book the other 1/2 and another sheet like :" 24 pages ... and 24 is not a multiple of 16i know it`s a weird question but still .... help ?
