Snow
-
I just got back from Mammoth. Got abut 7 feet in the past week. I never shoveled so much snow in my life. The cars were completely buried.
-
and my snow is melting!!
-
i want snow
-
By buried you mean having a layer of snow completely covering the cars right? Lol, I wish that were uncommon, but that happens here multiple times every year around the start of winter (when it reaches freezing and there's still a decent amount of moisture in the air). The snowfalls aren't that substantial or as often right now, but we've been having temperatures (in celcius) of -30 with windchill, the actual air temperature being about -21 which is cold, but it gets colder than that (we reached a record for the city of something like -49 with windchill last year). This is Edmonton, Alberta, and the only thing I like the cold weather for is skiing/boarding, lol. Lucky Ontario, lol. Your snow is melting... and we just keep getting more.
-
Yeah, It was completely buried to the roof of our SUV. Took a while to dig it out.Hey Helms. Enjoy it. I only got one day of skiing in. It snowed non-stop from the 26th to the 31st. It was chaos.
-
Clear weather... Damn you!
-
Yeah, keep on rubbing it in. BITE ME!
-
Hey someday they will be SO sick of snow.. i remember in december "i want it to snow sooo bad!" now i cant wait for the summer!
-
cali is getting snow??? Wow
Send it over......i want be seeing no snow. hahaha it's like almost 70s here lol
-
I need to find chains that will fit the 35mm profile tires on my Cadi. That is the only thing that is holding me back. How is the storm effecting you in San Diego? It has been raining since 5pm yesterday.
-
10hours? I took me under 4 1/2 hours last year to get back. Yet again I didn't go under 90mph the entire way.
-
Maybe I misunderstood. It wasn't a layer of snow covering the car, but it was actually buried so that you had to shovel it out? That's alot of snow, lol.
-
Yes, Rob... Completely buried. It is a lot of snow. The best I've done is 5 1/2 hours driving time from North County. We usually try to get there ASAP. What's this "tank" collection in Kramer junction? Military tanks??? I've never seen that. Where is it? Do you guys get some goodies from Schats bakery in Bishop? MmmmmmmBTW.. Where are you all staying?
-
Very nice. Is it one of the new ski-in ski-out units to the left side of chair 15?Antique store huh? Is it the sheds off to the west side of 395 behind the Astro-Burger?Yeah, check out Schats Bakery. It's in the middle of Bishop across from The Carls Jr.
-
I love Shats, it has to be one onf the best bakeries I have ever been to. BTW there is one in mammoth right next to Sandy's ski and sport.
-
Still not as good as the original.
-
I beleve I am going to stay at the Mammoth Mountain lodge. Just me and my girlfriend for 4 nights. I just need to call my dad's travel agent now. Where did you eat?
-
Well, we have our own condo there so we usually eat in, but we like Perry's for good Italian food and The Stove (breakfast) is mandatory before we leave for home.
-
I have been to the Stove several times; personally I prefer Tamarack lodge for breakfast. Next time yougo up there you really need to eat at Convict lake. I think I ate there 4/12 meals my last time in Mammoth. The food is quite good!
