F22Fighter: Listen, I am sorry if I am not clear in my message, you are MORE than welcome to give advice to anyone on this board, however, you are not welcome to impose your religion on anyone. You may not think you are doing so, but there is absolutely no need for religious excerpts or any of that matter in this thread. That is all I ask, that you not include a) information that is irrelevant to the thread, and b) religious information. This is because each one of us has our own beliefs in faith, and your religion is yours alone, and it is not your job to "convert" anyone to your faith. So let's just leave it at this, please don't include religion in your posts if it is not asked for. I feel bad enough for taking up so much space on this thread trying to explain this to you. Much apologies :frowning:

Christianity is my belief. Yours is not. You telling me not to say things relating to Christianity is like me telling you to only say things relating to Christianity. In our minds, it just doesn't make sense why anybody would want to do something like that. If you can say something secular, which I don't typically agree with in full (I admit secular advice gets lucky sometimes and helps) then I can say what's on my mind with the same freedom. If I don't say something Christian, then I wouldn't be speaking my opinion. So either you're telling me I can speak my opinion, which is Christian, or you're telling me I can't, which doesn't give justice to the freedoms we have. Basically, you're telling me to give advice that I don't agree with. Christianity is my way of life, so to me, not being Christian cannot be truly living. If I convince anybody of my views, I get nothing from it. I don't do it for me, I do it to let others know their options and decide for themselves. What you want is not tolerance, it's censorship, because your views are threatened by mine. If you tell me not to give people the option of hearing Christian beliefs, you're limiting not only my freedoms, but theirs as well. I didn't force anything on anybody, I offered it and if you don't want it, don't take it. You say that I'm free to have my belief, as long as I keep it to myself. That's pretty much an oxymoron in Christianity. I don't agree with godless beliefs, but I don't silence them just because of that. Practice what you preach, tolerance. It might make you more credible when you speak your mind.

I used to masterbate a few times a day when I was a teen. It would have been awesome to know a chic who also does that back then. Masterbating is healthy, so healthy that christians, catholics and whoever ALL masterbate. They may not admit it though. Catholic priests often turn to little boys due to retarded sexuall religious frustration. That is SICK! Isn't it better to NOT deprive your body of it's natural sexual abilities. Anyone who thinks masterbation is wrong is sick and should see a shrink. Go ahead and masterbate hours a day, one day I hope you find a good guy or girl to share in your interest.

In reply to: F22Fighter: Listen, I am sorry if I am not clear in my message, you are MORE than welcome to give advice to anyone on this board, however, you are not welcome to impose your religion on anyone. This is such fundamental bullshit! And the height of hypocrisy. Anyone can give any opinion they want and quote any source they want, from Aristotle to Freud to Kinsey or whoever, and it is accepted. The only things that aren't are posts that quote the Bible. Why is it acceptable to quote everything and base your opinion on anything but the Bible. That is hypocrisy at it's stinking worst. As far as "imposing" a viewpoint, how is F22Fighter different than anyone else? If I tell you not to worry about masturbation because Kinsey (who hasn't been taken seriously for eons) said the majority of adults to it, that would be welcomed here. If I said there is hope for someone who wants to stop, and use the Bible as a source, you say I'm imposing a view. (By the way, he wasn't imposing anything on her. He was agreeing with and supporting the very view she already stated.)It boils down to this...all view points are welcome except the ones you don't agree with. All sources of knowledge and encouragement are welcome except the one that you've decided to be bitter and vindictive toward.Figure it out...it's worth the time and effort to learn to make clear, concise, and valid arguments.

F22fighter is just plain annoying no offense. Just everything has to do with God...can't you give some advice without God or the bible excerpt...Its like me using barney with every darn advice.
-
I don't think that's a fair assessment. Go to his profile, look at all his posts, I see plenty that don't reference God or the Bible. Sure, he does so more than others, but Last uses insults and sarcasm more than most and I come off as a research snob more than most.I think people are just hyper-sensitive to F22 and his God references. Some are so because they just hate hearing about God and the Bible. Others are so because it's become such a huge frikking topic on too many of these boards. But I respect your opinion...and would probably agree that the best thing he could do right now is to tone it down a bit (even though that still seems unfair...)

That's not an addiction. BitCH.

In reply to: o bi da wai gods kewl k thx bai And learn to spell, for Pete's sake!
-
she is a crack whore remember? No joking, yeah please learn to spell. I know people on crack that spell better than you.
-
So has anyone masterbated from looking at the picture of crack whore? LOL
-
Sheesh, I took one look at that picture and my dick ran back to my bedroom and hid under the bed.It looks like a cross between Eileen Waurnos and that drunk woman in a trailer I delivered a pizza to on that really hot day...huge tip.
-
hahahaha...I am gonna have to negotiate with mine to get it to ever want to come back out....wait that is wrong, lol

It's sad that you asked a valid question and all anyone can concentrate on is the religious beliefs of someone else. Apparently, EVERYONE is self-righteous around here. Look, masturbation is healthy and normal, but when it interferes with life you may be on the way to nymphomania. Say you can't sleepm over somewhere b/c you're scared you won't be able to sleep without masturbating..then I know its terrifying but you probably need help. Don't be ashamed though, there are so many with this problem, I hope I could help
-
that is so cruel and disrespectful. couldn't you have found a better way to state your opinion?
-
In reply to: I just thought I would let you know that the best way to stop an addiction like this is cold turkey.Reminds me of the Monty Python sketch on how to get rich: "first, get a million dollars..." Telling someone with an obsessive-compulsive disorder to just stop is usually a no-op.In reply to:Another method, though hard to come by nowadays, is accountability.Reminds me of the hilarious Seinfeld episode ("The Contest") where everyone bets they can go the longest without masturbating (the censors wouldn't let them use the word). Elaine (the first one down): "I'm out."In reply to:settingcaptivesfree.comFine if you're an evangelical Christian and are amenable to brainwashing techniques.Otherwise, I would pursue the standard avenues of dealing with any obsessive-compulsive behavior (there's nothing special about this one): psychiatry or some other such counseling. Antidepressant drugs have been found to be effective, but, of course, are not needed in all cases.

In reply to:If you can say something secular, which I don't typically agree with in full (I admit secular advice gets lucky sometimes and helps) then I can say what's on my mind with the same freedom. If you're building a faith-based airplane, I think I'll stay on the ground. You'd probably have a better chance with a science-based one.In reply to:If you tell me not to give people the option of hearing Christian beliefs, you're limiting not only my freedoms, but theirs as well. The original poster is not amenable to bible-based advice, but your posting may benefit Christian obsessive masturbators, so you certainly should state your case.I've found that, in the realm of science, and human behavior falls within that realm, that faith-based advice falls somewhere between useless and destructive. But your mileage may vary.

Heh, you have to love how angry people get over the dumbest things. Sure, I am a hypocrite, and so are you. There's no one person that hasn't contradicted an idea that they've felt or followed, whether it be intentional or not. The point does boil down to the fact that I don't agree with F22Fighter. I do not hate or disrespect him; rather, I do not respect the idea that he presents. It's quite simple. And I'm not "bitter and vindictive", I just believe that religion and all other ideas are separate. Considering that, you can understand that I do not believe these sort of things are needed.Sure, I don't prefer any religion, I'm agnostic. But I don't tell anyone that it's better to not follow a set religion but find one for yourself.Oh yes, by the way, I do realize that this whole argument was launched because of my disagreement with F22, and I do realize that a lot of things I say are biased towards my opinion (as are everyone else's), so if you say that any messages are welcome, and you don't agree with my message, ignore it. Everyone else that doesn't agree with me does, and besides, this is the internet. Don't try fighting on the internet, it's pointless. I just like arguing/debating.
